Explosion on London Train

there was an explosion on a london tube train at parsons green station at 8:20 bst this morning.. there are pictures online of a plastic bucket that seems to be the source.

witnesses are reporting seeing a large wall of flames coming through a packed train carriage.

people are now being taken to ambulances with significant burns..

it's been a strange week, maybe the left sent out a memo this week that there losing their minds... three things i've noticed.... 1. mainstream media and politicians start bashing antifa a year into their bs, kind of odd, better late than never.

2. diane feinstein melts the brains of libs at a thing in sf when she expresses hope in trump, very odd, they probably ran her out of town with pitch forks and torches.. 3. trevor noah tells everyone to chill on ridiculing melania on what she wore to houston, beyond strange!

and also hypocritical, it's like telling everyone to think a certain way, to overreact to every little thing, then saying how dare you over react to something so insignificant.

Hollywood messed up another one

i am a big superhero fan and was looking forward to "the defenders".

the first two episodes are great but then ... liberalism happens.

one of the heroes (luke cage, big black guy) goes on this crazy rant, like a liberals wet dream of the bravehearth speech.

Over all they have done a great job with the Marvel series I think, I know what hothabenero is talking about though, it was very strange little tangent that seemed to come out of nowhere and was palpably agenda-ish. It was basically "you should be ashamed for having white privilege(TM) and being white, and that should be your super power to solve problems." It was very odd.

I feel sort of the same way about the satire and comedy on TV right now, its giving me trump exhaustion. I feel the wit and clever humor doesn't even exist anymore, just hit the trump button and make money. Tina Fey was on SNL weekend update special and it was a refreshing return to someone who is basically doing the same thing (criticising and satirizing Trump) without the self-righteous, humorless drone of everyone else, it was actually funny! Nothing like Trevor Noah and crew. They ruined a show John Stewart made amazing. We get it dude, white people are the root of all that is evil and are bad bad bad, shame on white people and their terrible race. *hits canned laughter button*

We are so stupid, we are tearing down statues of people who committed social wrongs in the past by modern standards, yet we insulate and excuse the religion of Islam that is actually currently living like its 200 years ago. Ass backwards

I am willing to listen to a cogent argument to defend memorializing pro-slavery figures, if there is one.

Let me ask a question, do you think most of these "kids" flipping out over these statues would even know who they hell they were? Forget Lee, any of the Confederate statues that are being taken down? I bet most have no clue who is what. I think the point of this whole exercise (pulling down statues) is not to eliminate hate, but to make a point. As I said before, it is virtue flag waving and self serving before anything else.

When Rome converted to Christianity, it's my understanding most the old pagan statues were either absorbed into the new norm or repurposed as someone else. What's the point? They weren't trying to split Rome in half. When the dipshit likes of Antifa get involved, it's less about "slavery" and more about testing the limits of suppressing free speech and expression. Everyone who makes this a slavery/racism issues is WAY oversimplifying it. No one denies what General Lee was, most sane people are in fact NOT racist. Defending freedom to offend is not an endorsement of its message.

What ever happened to do "don't feed the trolls"? There will probably forever be a small band of white hate idiots, there is no Jehalapeno coming to make the world perfect, so there are no bad people and we can all pet pandas. Most likely these statues would have come down in a different way, maybe moved to a museum that memorialized mistakes of America's past, who knows, maybe they would have put someone else name on them. The point is we are speeding down a dangerous road of censorship.
