Had a major blow out

my mom was emailing a group thread of rhetoric about isis and armageddon, and i finally got sick of it and said some pretty intense harsh things about ideals, and wishing for armageddon.

then it went back and forth like some debate, all the while i am holding back unloading serious ttatt on my family.

i put a whole bunch of scriptures where the wonderful yahweh committed infanticide.

Vidiot I agree, the proof of this is often if I had something I didn't understand or agree with and my uberist family members would resort to well if you don't like it why don't you just leave! (that way we can unleash our tool for emotional blackmail, DISFELLOWSHIPPING). They also say if you don't believe in it (or god), just leave then what are you doing. Do I want to leave, HELL yes, but they put my in this position, they have to deal with me now

after speaking about the destruction of sodom and gomorrah, paragraph 6 says:.

"only lot and his daughters, who stuck close to him, survived".

my name is russ, i'm 40 years old, from the uk, and i left the jws nearly 5 years ago.

i've been a member of the yuku board throughout that time, so there are probably some on here who know me already.

there seems to be more activity over here at the moment, so i thought i'd pop in and say hi.i was raised as a jw, started questioning it when i was 16, but there was no internet back then (well, no www anyway) so i got sucked right in and got baptized when i was 18. auxiliary pioneered on and off for a couple of years, then became a ministerial servant.

Metal orb w/ biological ooze maybe from aliens discovered, very odd story

this titanium metal orb, the size of a human hair was found and having bio matter oozing out of it.

Asshole Atheism – Not for me, now or ever.

to start off with let me clarify that by asshole atheism i am not referring to strong atheism or any other type of upfront atheism.

what i am referring to is the belligerent, hateful atheism that smacks of trolls and other types who want to derail conversation or comments at any cost..

i enjoy hearing comments from both sides of the subjects of theism, nationalism or politics, especially from those who have intense opinions.

it amazes me how much power mind control can have over your emotions, your behavior and thoughts.

let me explain, apathy has taken over a close family that my wife and i care about.

the cognitive dissonance within this family is huge.

It's time to start taking pride in being a spiritually weak JW. When you feel humiliated you are giving them this power over you. Don't give them the satisfaction. I'd wear it like a badge, when this thing keeps getting wackier and wackier and some are feeling uncomfortable and start waking up theyll look up to your peace of mind.

The feeling is associated with humiliation we used to feel.

Part of the force behind mind control, being called weak, having people judging you in their mind, it's not their actions its the empathetic feelings you are having for what they are going through, something witness do not have empathy.

I had a friend that DA'd himself a month or so ago, he was not even interested in TTATT, but just so over being a witness. I tried to explain to him that fading and still being able to talk to your mom etc was preferable. But he wanted to officially end it. I didn't debate with him because there would be no changing his mind, so I just let him know I'd still be here and support him either way.

so my uncle wrote me a long letter out of concern, it was filled with bit of love and concern here and there but also a lot of staunch dogmatic and at times down right disturbing thoughts and assumptions.

if you doubt the bible or jw.org, seems even close family feels you are on a one way track to death by godville.

anyway, he accused me of being a luciferian.

Caedes I agree, it keeps going back to really just being a complete and good person, someone is always going to try and make a 'Church' out of it so people can belong. I just wanted to have fun with this, the original Athiest Luciferian's were probably given that title by someone else lol, they were just nice people who minded their own business and weren't @$$holes

As I think these are some of the largest Mainstream if you will cults. Then I would like a a comparison of things they do the same. Ie JW shun-Yes Mormon shun-yes and so on down the line. Witnesses think they are so special and unique and they aren't, they also don't believe they are in a wacky cult and they are, I think the chart could show both things

I told my uncle who is a hardcore elder, for one moment tell yourself there is no god, no satan, and you are a bronze age tribal leader who wants to not have people question you, and viola! Man Woman Knowledge Snake... "don't questions authority" "Don't seek knowledge" "Don't think for yourself" and so on.

When you read the ideas of Jeduo Christian religions, then Arcadic Luciferianism, its like "ok...." one is a judgmental jealous cynical bash fest, and the other is a tolerant knowledge and peace seeking idea. The latter sounds more like Jesus area of the bible than YHWH's, I won't say Jehovah because that doesn't exist, that is a name made up by a Dominican Monk, YHWH was the god of the Hebrews, along with El, and also one of the Canaanites gods and the god of an ancient Midianite cult from the place where Moses went to live after leaving egpyt, where he got his wife... and his step dad was most likely a part of that sheep herding cult.
