by yknot inwell rick's video on venus got me thinking about our favorite wannabe international heavy......the un.. we all know the lame half assed excuse that ciro released regarding the library card..... how long after ted is permanently infirmed or dead until the hand picked younguns' decide to quietly ditch the un doctrine?.

She probably gives mucho $$$$ to the WTS. I often wondered why Michael Jackson never got nailed for his actions. Its all about the $$$$. Thats my best guess.

I remember getting pressured to get baptized before '75. So to please everybody I did in 1974. What a mistake. Like many other posters have already mentioned I too gave up 2 great jobs because of the WTS and the crap of '75.

You notice they equate themselves with Jehovah. What Scriptural arrangement are they talking about??
I don't know of ANY scriptural arrangement that makes parents treat children this way.

Condescending Style of the book Keep Yourselves in God's Love
by VM44 inatlantis has posted a download link for the 2008 book release, "keep yourselves in god's love".
i read a page or so from the book, and the first thing i notices is the simple language used that sounds like it is written to be read by a little child who is in elemenatary school.. the styel if very condescending and actually is insulting as if the reader is expected to have a very low level of intelligence or reading ability.. what is going on?
why is bethel printing such material?.

children went to college was pretty popular.. i mentioned this to quite a few "on the edge" witnesses who are really pro-education and they were really interested in learning more about this, or hearing it from the .
platform, magazine, or co (who just left last week.).

My mom got sucked in to this in 1969. She really thought the end would come soon. She always believed that she would never die and live right into the New System. "Millions now living will never die" she thought. Now she is 82 years old and in bad health. It is so sad to see her still clinging to this crap. The WTS has IMO stolen much of her adult life knocking on doors spreading this BS for years. I will never forgive the Cult for this disappointment of dreams.

Public Talk & Bookstudy Changes - the real reason
by bud2114 ini havn't been able to keep up with all the discussion in this forum as to why the gb has suddenly decided to implement these changes and perhaps someone has mentioned this already, but to me the most obvious reason has nothing to do with control, or money.
it has everything to do with the serious shortage of qualified brothers who can (or who are willing to) be used.
i have been involved in the organzation for 40 yrs and i have never seen the level of apathy and disillusionment among those serving in some capacity in this organization.

I Remember how my mom who is now 82 yrs old used to hope and pray that she would never have to die before the "New System". Its so sad to see so many loose their dreams of never dying. So many years of field service waiting on a dream. So sad. So sad.

by AuldSoul injehovah's witnesses currently teach that prior to 1914 no one could have predicted what happened in europe in 1914. they teach that the world was heading toward such idyllic stability that the events of 1914 caught everyone off-guard.
so surprised were the people of the time that they looked back with fondness at the calm preceding 1914 as a time that could never be gone back to.. what were the bible students teaching about 1914 prior to that year?
in what capacity did they claim to be teaching?.
