I was shunned today in the post office.
by outoftheorg inwell this poor jw walked to the table to sort out the throw aways just as i headed there also.. i saw him and smiled, then he dropped his head to not look at me.
we both sorted out the things for the trash bin and were only about 20 or so inches apart.. i remember him coming to my house when my daughters were young girls and he wanted to get aquainted.. maybe i should have spoken to him but i just looked at him and he refused to even look back.. how sad.
he always has this really sad disappointed look on his face.

Kitty, When I was DF'd back in 1984, my mother wouldn't talk to me at all. One day when visiting my "wordly aunts", as I was walking down the sidewalk to their house my mom was coming out with one of my aunts. Wouldn't you know my aunt said Hi Jim coffees on upstairs. My mom looked the other way and kept walking. Why oh Why did I ever get reinstated??? I must of been on drugs or something. I agree with you. "Worldly people" treat you for who you are and not for what you are or are not.

Why can't you just move on?

i was making an observation about the way my family and other jws in my life are constantly trying to get me to go to a meeting or read an awake, but they never want to sit down and address the questions i have raised to them.
she then asked me why i can't just move on.

Atypical, glad to hear the good news man. As for the witnesses, who gives a f-ck about them. They dont care or give two sh-ts about you. As long as you and yours got it goin, thats what really counts.
