  JW's at your door

  last saturday my brother in law answered his door to a man that asked " are you worried about the environment and pollution"?

  my brother in law said" yes i am " .

  as they chatted for a few moments ,the man at the door reached into his briefcase case and pulled out his bible.

  Kingdom Halls and snow days

  it is snowing like crazy where i live and it common for churches and other places of worship to close for the safety of members.

  they usally alert folk on the morning news.

  Minnesota meetings are cancelled on occasion due to the snow/ice. Here in California, it would probably take an earthquake to cause a cancellation.

  No JWs in sight....what happened to them?

  i have been living in my new house since november.

  i have been home every weekend, saturday and sunday mornings.

  i live in a big city, in a densely housed area.. there has not been a single jw door-knocker this entire time!!!!

  My mom goes preaching every tuesday and thursday,, my brother and his wife preach every saturday. My sister hasn't in months,, My dad is inactive for 20+ years.

  I'll never preach again,, haven't for 6 years? give or take.

  The small town congregation my family is at is still fairly motivated,, however I now live 2000 miles away from them,, I'm in a large city and the only ones I see preaching are

  the old ladys, and an occasional younger pioneer. Typically I only see the jw's in poorer neighborhoods, rarely do I find them in my neighborhood or the local wealthy areas.

  Kissing

  does jehovah witnesses believe that kissing between man and women before marriage is allowed by the bible?.

  the type[s] i have in mind is the kissing between a boyfriend-girlfriend couple [intimate kiss on the lips] or kissing like 'making out' on one night or so.

  regarding other types, if jw [&others] think the bible has a different stand, please tell.. thanks in advance,

  I personally know of one JW couple that married, and their first kiss was during the wedding ceremony. Prior to that, the groom had never kissed anyone in his life,, though the

  i've gotten into at least one argument at every one i've gone to.

  last summer, i started laughing when a sister on the stage told us how "proud" she was that she only had two complete place settings in her house.

  if more than one person came to visit she related that she had to wash a cup so that the other one could drink.

  I love that Idea,,, I seem to remember that being mentioned on another thread.

  Plus I love South Park,, I watch it almost every night.

  It would be great seeing the disapproving faces of those that actually read my name tag,,, Maybe I'll wear my first name tag and actually attend an assembly again.

  I agree,, never did understand that concept. This isn't the first day of grade school and the teacher has yet to learn our names.

  Just for the record, I've never worn and never will wear one of those stupid badges.

  could possibly, a few radical jws, who adhere to what the wtbts [fds/governingbody] says is "promoting false religion", go as far as destroying said churches in the south right now?

  It wouldn't surprise me one bit. As a teenager I vandalized my share of churches. I knew it was wrong, but justified it with my jw background.

  One church I 'hit' many times, had a very large cross that was well lit during the night,, I would go there at night,, climb up the cross and break the light bulbs

  on the cross part, successfully turning it into a 'torture stake' it was quite funny in my mind. Now I realize that I could care less about the cross/stake argument.

  I feel bad for some of the things I did.

  i'm getting a really good offer for a 1994 ford mustang cobra for about $7500 (its been modified :-d ).

  and a black viper that a guy has been trying to sell me for weeks.

  I was raised in a small town in minnesota. In the local congregation it was considered taboo for someone to purchase a two door vehicle. My first vehicle was exactly that.

  A two door jeep. I loved it, and it was strange, no one gave me crap about it,,, Well except for the time I did a 'burn-out' and left tire marks all over the parking lot.

  any good pranks????....

  now this might be childish and immature but we all have our moments... i was thinking of some pranks to pull on the kh and one i thought of is calling during every meeting doing different voices (block your number) and ask for pizza, chinese food, you name it.

  also i work at a call center for a magazine company and i was thinking that on my last day that i will set up a trial subscription for them they will get sooo much junk mail and invoices hehe .

  any good ideas of more pranks?

  Nate Merrit posted some great ones here a few months ago, but the response to them was largely negative. Personally I thought they were great.

  I just read the link to Nate's post,, Hilarious,, I especially loved the part where they wore beards and went preaching as their own version of JW's That was hilarious.
