This is known prayer from Paul. And actually how go you go THROUGH something without goint TO this something. Can you go through door without going to the door? Christ himself makes himself object of faith. Also he claims that one who believes in Him does not believes in Him (!!!) but in Father. Christ says to come to him, and more... Cor 5 (ending) claims that God was in Christ! So whenever you speak to Christ you speak to Father too, whenever you reject Christ, you reject Father, whenever you pray to Christ you pray to Father. They are one! :)

Apostle Paul prayed to Jesus
by hamsterbait inthe wtbts claims that stephen's last words before the sanhedrin killed him are not proof that we are allowed (at least not in their eyes) to approach christ and make requests.. yet john 14:14 in the greek text says "whatever you ask me in my name i will do it" this is borne out in the knox translation.. looking at paul's words in 2cor 12: 8 - 10.
"... i entreated the lord that it might depart from me... v9: he really said to me... my power is being made perfect in weakness.
the lord gave his answer.

Would you trust this guy to build an Ark?
by moshe ini found this picture of otzi the iceman , whose mummy was found in the alps in 1991. he died about 5300 years ago.
that would make him a close contemporary of noah.
using only flint and copper tools , do you think this ancient man and his family could have built the biblical ark?

Center of Bible is Jesus Christ. Intention of Bible is to testify about Jesus Christ so you can come to him and get ethernal life. That's so simple!

if he knows all
by abuttercup ini have often wondered..... they say jehovah is the begining and the end, and that he can read every heart.
if so, did he not know eve would eat the fruit and then adam would follow?
did he not know satan would try to pull his weight?

XU it depends on how do you define omnipotence. If you define it as to do everything even contradictionary things, then yes, he can do it and still be omnipotent - Because in the world where such rock sexist can exist God who is contradictionary! I guess you don't like such definition of omnipotence. But chirsitians (I am not JW) believe that GOd can do everything what is possible! And he can't do things which contradicts himself, so God's will is His own limitation. When he wills somethig he can't not to will it at the same time.

Revelation is prophetic book. It is book of alegories and methaphors. It is not wise to take such book as base of your believes. First read and believe Gospels and Epistles as they are cleare anough. Then use them to explain Revelation book. 144000 is symbolic number which means - every single one of God. Also Revelation several times uses this pair of "hear/see" one thing is heard other thing is seen. The same with 144000 this is symbol of whole new Israle, whole redeemed from sin, whole beleivers. It is mad up of 12x12x1000 where each number is symbol of completness. If it would be lietral number, then only 144000 Israel virgin men would be ones in the list, which ofcourse is wrong. Just remember - Revelation is symbolic and methaporical book which have to be explained in light of clear books. It is how JW and other sects and cults change the words of God by introducing something symbolic then claiming what it means and then enforcing this newinvented semantics upon clear books of Gospel. Don't believe JW!

Being Saved

I don't feel anything, but God's Word tells me that I am saved as I believe in Jesus Christ. It's so simple. I am Saved coz God says so and who am I to not believe what Creators says. When he sayed "Let it be" it become. So my salvation is as real as whole Reality which both are confirmed by God's Word. That's all! God's Promise! But if you don't believe it, you are not saved! :) And funny is that you can't learn to believe in Salvation. You can be made to believe ANYTHING (as ex-jw knows very well) but you can be made to believe that you ar Saved only by GOd's Spirit himself.

Ooops! So I can try only to show how you can understand trinity (will be only imperfect image). Imagine some book which is TRUTH, book is written in some divine language you even don't understand. You can see the book, some pictures, cover. So you can know something very very little about this book. This is Father. Christ is the same book trnslated into your language - suppose english. And Holy Spirit is what you get inside you when you read the book. You have 3 separate things, but still it it the same book, the same information, the same Spirit. One God and three persons. And no translated book is not the same book which it is translated from, and Spirit you got is no the book inside you. But still it is the same book! :)

Blood issue, I finally got it
by OnTheWayOut inthe jw doctrine of "no blood" has never affected me, personally.
i knew that either.
jehovah's witnesses were wrong or the rest of the world was wrong.

I won't be able now to find exact scriptures but when read in OT you will notice that "not eating blood" and "bleeding" allways applies for one who actually kills the animal. Pouring blood on the ground is sign of respect of life. It is like giving the life of killed animal back to God. There are several scriptures where eating killed (by someone or something else) does not requires bleeding the dead animal. It is only warned that one becames uncleen for a day, actually not a big issue eating unbled animal if you are not one who kills. Also there is permission to sell such a meat to gentiles! And more funny is one place where David asks for water, soldgiers fight trough enemies lines to acquire the water and latter David recognizing his stupid request (risking lifes of his soldgiers for water) pours out the water on ground stating that he can't dring blood of soldgiers.
