The WTBTS claims that Stephen's last words before the Sanhedrin killed him are not proof that we are allowed (at least not in their eyes) to approach Christ and make requests.
Yet John 14:14 in the greek text says "whatever you ask me in my name I will do it" this is borne out in the Knox translation.
Looking at Paul's words in 2Cor 12: 8 - 10
"... I entreated the LORD that it might depart from me... v9: he really said to me... My POWER is being made perfect in weakness."
The Lord gave his answer. Since it is the Lord's power, who is the Lord Paul had entreated?
"that the POWER of CHRIST may like a tent remain over me"
Never spotted this before. The bit about a tent also has shades of God spreading his tent over mankind. (at least to me.)
The FDS do not allow anyone else to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but are they going to enter it, when they forbid approach to Christ - the only name under Heaven that can save us?
