  How much do you pay for your internet service?

  a few years ago, i had dial up internet with netrover, and cost about 18$ a month, unlimited use.

  but it was slow.. then i had videotron here in quebec, low speed internet (cable) for about 29$ a month which was about 3 to 4 times faster than dial up.

  now i upgraded it to high speed for about 45$ a month plus tax of course.

  where i live, you can smell the odor of paper mills.

  it's a port city and people speak french here.

  i think the average age of people here is one of the higest in canada.. there is a shrine that attracts many tourists in the summer time.

  just watching a show now, kind of a reality show where a woman explains that she was a jw, and now is most known porno star here.. she was married also this week i think, and has her own show now.

  funny.. can not post pictres here, they are all not really suitable.

  im hurt, desperate, confused and considering this religion - advice?

  like the subject title says, i'm hurt, desperate and confused and don't know what to do anymore.

  i'm so desperate to have something to live for that i'm considering converting to something like the jehovah's witnesses.

  i know this might seem a bit extreme but please hear me out.

  Very confused: My advice to you is do not add to your problems. I am not an atheist but

  religion is not what you need now. You need professional help to get to the root of your

  depression. You will probably get some good counsel on this sight. Keep close to this sight for

  support. By joining any religion right now it will only add cofusion to an already confused mind.

  Did you drink to get over being a Witness?

  when i first left the witnesses, i had some times of being really pissed at all the wasted time and the way the people acted.

  i remember one time, my spouse and i decided to just get ripped.

  we did and as we did, we laughed and even cried at times over the issues.

  I was a heavy "social drinker) as a JW but when I left I hit the bottle quite heavy, and also started smoking mostly cigars. I did this for about five years until my mind was free of all dub

  propaganda. Then I realized how futile this was and quit in 1986 and have never had a drink since.

  The Good News and Bad News (Brace yourselves; cause it is bad)

  the good news: i just saved a bunch more money on my car insurance by switiching to progressive!

  (though i do miss the free talking duck aflac would send me once a year)

  the bad news: it has just been announced at the kingdom hall today that as of now the watchtower is being translated into 152 languages instead of what used to be 151.

  Bad news means a lot more wt sitting in someones living room in a foriegn country, like about

  50% or more of them do in the other 151 countries.
