What if you don't pray for your horse to come in?
I really don't think it is a disfellowshiping offense
I know of an elder that use to buy lottery tickets all the time
nothing ever happened to him and he wasn't really
discreet about it. I think they can only get you if it gets
bad and you can't take care of your family. Because lo
and behold they are not going to be resposible for
widows and orphans that just wouldn't be organizational.
Any way tell them it was just an investment I don't think
anybody buts there money in the stock market and prays
for a decline do they?

Dubs and Horsies
by Stephanus ini've gotten the impression that gambling is not looked upon kindly by the 'tower.
is it officially condemned, i.e.
is it a disfellowshippable offence?.

One more question NOW with my answer
by Yerusalyim ingod tested abraham by telling him to sacrafice his son issac.
since god is omniscient (knows all, knows the end from the beginning) he already knew abraham would go through with it unless god stopped him.
what was the purpose of this test?.

Witnesses Can Keep Visiting
by orbison intodays newspaper.
st-jerome, quebec, canada.
a quebec judge has ruled in favour of jehovah's witnesses in the challenge of a blainville bylaw requiring a permit for door to door visits of a religious nature.. justice jean crepeau said that to lump witnesses in with sales people is degrading.

I wish some of those serious publications would deal
with chlid molestation and how this christian organization
handels such things. I wonder if an awake would have
a picture of the preist keeping a rapist out jail with the
vatican pictured in the background. Someone should
pass that along to them. Oh sorry that was two elders
and the tower protecting a rapist, see if they will do
the story anyway[ this makes me sick] -

Is it Gospel?
by ISP inthe may 15 2000 watchtower page 4 indicated that scholars at the jesus seminar had concluded that 82% of all the words attributed to jesus in the gospels were not authentic but 'derived from later tradition'.. it is difficult to say for yourself but i do find it remarkable that pauls letters do not contain any references to jesus' life, history or more importantly his teachings.
the sermon the mount, lords prayer or the golden rule etc.
do not get a mention in his words to fledgling congregations.

Luke got his story from Jesus himself
Paul got his story from Jesus himself
John got Rev. from Jesus himself-where do you believe
Genisis came from?
As far as the comma goes who really cares, in reality there might have been a pause between every word HE was dying
are you saying HE had the same strength all day. Then why
did he die.
Point about the comma is not as important as the fact the
two evil doers get different rewards.
The comma only confuses those who don't believe
they are going to heaven. So again I do not care where the
comma is I want you to explain the different rewards to
the evil doers.
OK so what practice are you trying to get through to me? -

I know John was there; my point do you think he heard
everything that was said that day? The mother reference
Jesus looked down had his beloved apostels attention
and spoke to him. The evil doers were up with Jesus how
high up? Talking[ must realize here that talking in this kind
of situation is awful difficult not being able to breath is how
one dies at this.] directly to them face to face as best as HE
could. My point nobody else heard what was said except the
three. Maybe there was only two witness's to what was said
to the 'good' evil doer the evil doer and the LORD after all HE
was in human form and in really bad shape. How loud do
you think he was talking they were outside people were
mermuring the whether was getting bad, NO one else heard
what was said.
What you say about the good book might be correct but you
would think if they were going to doctor things there wouldn't
be so many things still left in doubt. You know freddie wasn't
alive then so at least thats a comforting thought.
Also the catholic bible has more books in it than the regular
one.
Either you believe the DIVINE one watched out for his WORD
or you don't . With that I'll just 'Let it Be' as Paul sings in the
backround-'because there will be an aswer let it be' -

I'm sure there are a lot more people on this site that know the
story better than I. But I think it was the 3 century Constantine
was the ruler and wanted to make his power further reaching
so he divised away to bring the christians and romans
together. The Holy Bible was thus born.
What it comes down to is do you believe in the HOLY book or
not? We humans are never ever going to be sure if everything
written was divine. Only if we have faith in it. If your answer is
yes than keep digging into the WORD. If no is your answer
than its time for you to move"further on up the road" -

Flowerpetal what a great sixties name.
Luke 1:3-"it seemed good to me also,[to write]
having had PERFECT understanding of all things from
the very first".NKJV-now from the greek according to those
puplishers from N.Y. "it seemed[good] also to me having
followed closely from ABOVE to all things".
Is not Luke stating where he is getting his info from, is it
not the same place where Paul got his.
John was there at the impalement that day but was he a
witness to what was said between individuals so high
up with guards around them. You must picture the setting
not movie or tv setting actually whats happening. The LORD'S
death didn't take minutes it was quite a long day. Which
followed a very long night for John. Now taking everthing
into account why is Luke the only gospel to mention this?
Because there were only three eyewitness's to what happened
up there that day. And they were all dead in the flesh. But Luke
was relating the story from an eyewitness. Yes the only
eyewitness that could tell him. The LORD JESUS himself.
1-? Faith in Jesus coming-dying-rising is what is needed to be
saved-that is what the whole N.T. is about. The LORDand FAITH.
Now who be deemed to be showing the most Faith one who
saw or one who didn't. Remember what Jesus said to Thomas,
good Thomas you believe but blessed are the ones who
don't see and believe.

AK- why do they keep putting out books from the O.T.?
You should tell them that OUR LORD and SAVIOR has
come and rose to HIS throne already. Or should they
change there name to JEWISH witness's. Or is it
posible that there light is coming from oh so far away
it has taken over 2 thousand years to get here. So they
really don't know of this JESUS of which I speak. -

ISP-didn't Paul meet and talk with Peter and John? So were
they discussing the super bowl or the hockey playoffs. John
himself said if all was wriiten about the LORD all the books in the world couldn't contain them. They had no mighty TOWER
that could print things for them. Are we questioning the validity
of Paul on this thread or the whole of the NT. Why is it imposible
to think that Paul got his info from above. Check out the Gospel
of Luke I ask you where did he get his info? Beware of freddies
translation here, please use the greek. Hint-who were the
witness's to what the Lord said to the evil doers.
Now if some of you are saying that Paul is a conspriacy by
the early church what of Acts? If you can prove this conspiracy
can one of you tell me who actually killed, JFK-MLK and BOBBY
by the way did we really go to the moon and did aliens really
crash in N.M.
As for more writers just a thought maybe they weren't
educated these guys weren't brain surgeons you know.
Of the ones that did write we know some were very educated.
Remember he gave some for this some for that not all to write -

Abaddon-thats what I have felt waiting on this corner thanks
for the ride. You need not tell me the lyrics of one of the
greatest songs of all time. It was my best friends get out
of bablyon the lessor song. Every time I tried to pull him in
back into the darkness he would quote a line.
No hell below-tell me is there one-sort of depends on your
definition of is-is oh sorry what hell is doesn't it.
Go outside look up what do you see?Sky
About being inspired I think many many people are inspired
maybe all of us at one time or another.
I do think Lennon was inspired when he penned this song.
He had been to the mountain top looked out and seen the
promised land and was letting everyone know how beautiful
it was-he was inspired to write it many were inspired by the
writing.
Now atheists-Lennon penned yet another song "GOD"
in it he says "I don't believe in" followed each time by
a being.
Jesus
Buddha
Hitler
Kennedy
Beatles
Zimmerman[Dylan]
and on he goes until he gets to " I just believe in ME YOKO
and ME.
A little story from my distant past. There is a family member
who claims to be an atheist. One frightful night his young son
[less than two] had convulsions as he was swollowing his
tongue and is turning blue my sister rushing her little boy to
the tub screeming my mom going nuts, all believers in the
almighty but not one as I can recall called on HIM, now maybe
they did but I don't remember. What I do remember is the
little boys father while standing on the porch waiting for the
ambulance looked up and said GOD oh GOD please help
US. Now I can't tell you if GOD heard that atheists prayer
that night or not that is for the Almighty to say. But the little
boy lives he's in his thirties now in a lot of ways an athesit
much like his dad.
Point if Jean[Lennons] son had the samething happen to
him would John trusted in Yoko or in the beyond.
Hey thanks for the ride let me off here I see Larc must stop
and say hi.
Hi Larc which way are you headed?
Peace and Love too All-Mark
