i am angry because my adult children who are active jw's think i should be dead or suffer for not being a witness and i supported them comfortably and they shunned me and show hate i am sad and probably won't do the chemo thing and just let nature take its course.
any ideas?

It is so sad, they claim to follow the Bible yet when they want to ignore what it says they have no problem with it.
The Bible does say the we are to honor our parents, and it also says we are to care for them in their later years.(No I don't remember exactly where). All I can say is we will pray for you and keep you in our hearts.
Imagine that, total strangers showing more love than family - boy what shining examples of Christ they are.

i was talking with a person who was a jw for over 20 years, served in the org, and then quits after finding out it wasn't the truth, becomes athiest almost overnight after reading many books.. gee, thats a quick change....
We may also wnt to concider that the WT indoctrnation people go through stays with us a long time. (It is planned that way) We may react by becoming athiest, or totally "worldly" (whatever that really means). and we do this because we have been taught that this is the way we are "supposed" to act upon leaving. And so many people do act in these ways. That is why when someone does not act in a prescribed way it is shocking to them.
Now I'm not saying that acting one way or another is right or wrong, as every person is at their own place in life. But are we programed even more that we realize?
Another quick example, I know a friend of mine who has been Df'ed for about 12 years or more yet when he sees or meets a dub, he will lower his head and say "I am df'ed, so you shouldn't talk to me." Me I welcome the chance to chat,but he is still under their thumb, and following their rules.

my son just informed me that his grandfather left him and his brother, (his only grandsons) , money for their education.. i had no idea, of the amount but it did make sense to me...a suposed $50,000.00 but the will was on a small personal computer and promptly erased by someone in my mom's kh at her request.. she has in the mean time shunned me, and low and behold sent $200,000.00 to the society.
this tires me beyond belief.. thanks for listneing....i am feeling crazy!.
Also if it was one the computer he may have sent it to someone. There would be a record of that also.

i don't want to talk about myself, or personal experiences but rather facts/things that happened.

I would start off by asking somerthing like, "Do you know any JW's?, Don't they seem like nice people?"
Then show a couple pictures of some chlidren playing and then ask, "Do you think that if judgment day was to come today that these children are wothy of death? And would you rejoice at their death?" When they answer "no", then explian that they could not be a JW if and believe that way. Explain that when judgement day comes that ALL non-JW's will be distroyed, for the crime of n0ot being a JW. And all those surviving JW's will rejoyce at the slaughter. You maybe could even show some pics from their books that show this.
This would at least get their attention.
One other thought, I don't recall if this exact wording in in and book but I had a elder say once in a talk that, "Every person who is not a JW is a worshiper of Satan wether they know it of not." So ask if any of them are JW's and when they say no then you can tell them that they are Satan worshiper, if the WT is correct.

I kind of see things that way also, but I can't help think how far can they go and how many will follow.
Most of the heavens gate group were middle class succesful people and they did what they did.
It just makes me wonder.

I was outed by my father, but my "crime" was mush worse.
The day before my mothers funeral my best friend of 10 years, who is DF, came to console me and I alowed him in my presence and did not shun him. So from that moment on I was a satan worshiper. Go figure

No I am not a JW I am an exJW. But my wife and my father are both JWs.

But they were never in this bad of shape, shrinking membership and funds. But there have been the comments like "This is the last convention.", "Store up supplies for the tribulation."
Honestly, does any of that sound rational? Or does it sound more like desperation? If it is desperation then what is next? How many times have these controling cults, when they think their backs are to the wall, have they slautered their followers, one way or another? I know we all will say, "Yea, but the average JW is too smart for that." How many times do we all see, and read about here, how the most absurd things our friends and family members say. And how they are able to rationalize everything down to Gods channel is to be obeyed.
Again I hope I am totally wrong but I have thought about it, and they do sound desperate. And it worries me.
