i personally think it would be an interesting experience to visit every single different kind of church that's out there
Me to, that was my plan, now just to get a "church buddy" who'll come with me lol
i have been playing with the idea of trying out different churches lately, just trying to keep an open mind, i notice myself thinking like a jw sometimes, thinking that no other religion is right, well whether there is a "true" religion or not i want to be able to say that at least i didn't give up after being a jw.
so i have been saying to my friends that i want to go to church, we talked about it a bit, but only one of my friends goes more than just christmas, so nothing ever came of it.
well the other day he was over for movies and i mentioned it again( it was saturday night) and he said that his parents are making him go tomorrow if i wanted to go.

I got there a bit latebut they were reading from the bible for a bit, but than they priest(?)(not sure if that's the correct title) said it was "children time", and boy did that confuse me, because JW's don't have a part only for the children. A man came up and starting talking the the young children asking them questions related to the bible, but with words and phrases they could understand, he got them involved and even sang a song with them, it was nice to see the kids treated like this.
Oh and there was a baby crying during the sermon and the mom didn't scold it, she picked it up and cradled it, no one gave her dirty looks, that was a nice change

Next thing I know its Sunday morning and I'm getting dressed for church( you can bet I wore pants not a skirt lol) I was fidgeting and pacing all morning I was so nervous. It was a small Presbyterian church out in the country. Even though I didn't learn much about their beliefs from one sermon, it was an interesting experience, I might just even go again.
.
when you were an active jw, did you feel kind of superior to worldly people in some way?.
I felt like I knew a secret they didn't know, so I was 'special'
we're under a snow storm watch until 6pm!
< view from my office....it's supposed to accumulate from 3-5 inches!

after seeing kw13's post about rap in the kh i began looking through a list of famous jdubs http://www.adherents.com/largecom/fam_jw.html , i hadn't realised that the rap artist jah rule had been a jdub.
i wondered if the gb would let such a "brother" put together a rap promo for the society, something along the lines of.
hes one bad brother hes the big creator.
LMAO
i also tried the next day and she wasn't home.
i ran into her in a different park about 10 days later, and she was with another guy.
i told her the same.
awww this is cute, can't wait to hear the rest
i spent about one year in 1982 living in a 32 ft travel trailer.
our home had burned down on jan 10th,1982 at night- -30 deg f. my wife, 2 yr old son, 4 yr old daughter and i traveled to many states that year.
many people dream of living the life of a free gypsy- no ties to any one place- north in the summer-south in the winter, living in a travel trailer or motorhome.
when I'm retired (not for a long time) I would like to try it, I love traveling, and am not picky about space
.. you scored as agnosticism.
you are an agnostic.
though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in god, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic.
agnostic!
OH they make me so mad! So it's OK for Them to be part of the UN but it's considered wrong(stumbling) if you work at say a nursing home that is a"Baptist Nursing Home" grrrrr hypocrites
