OMG...what memories relived. I remember the Avon lady story, the possessed Smurfs, KISS, John Denver....wow! The funniest thing is, my mother-in-law was 'spiritistic' and used to crochet us baby blankets. My husband would never keep them and would throw them away. He keeps telling people about her making us an outfit for one of our babies and bringing it home and trying to burn it and it wouldn't burn. He always says, 'Don't you remember that?" For the life of me....I don't remember that ever happening. The things they get in their heads!

WHAT DUB THINGS WILL YOU NEVER FORGET?
by Mary innow as much as no one wants to admit it, we all know that there are things we learned in the borg that we'll never forget even if we live to be a hundred.
what is something that you know you'll always remember (despite your best efforts to forget!
for me, it's matthew 24:14 and the names of the three hebrews thrown into the firey furnace (shadrach, meeee-shack and a-bed-we-go)

I still refer to being fortunate about something instead of lucky....as much as I hate doing it. And always look around after I say "bless you" when someone sneezes.

anyone up for the 3 /4 word story game?
by dezpbem inyesturday some of us had a great time playing the 3 word game.
i didn't get much done at work while doing it though!
with one change...instead of 3 words you have the choice of 3 or 4 as you go.. we make a story by everyone posting 3 words at a time.

Birthdays are fun!
by pennycandy intomorrow is my youngest baby's 2nd birthday.
i'm gonna wrap presents and buy a cake and light candles and wear a silly hat and sing happy birthday.
and i'm not gonna have those silly nagging guilt feelings that i used to that kept me from singing the whole song or from getting in the pictures.

Wow, good for you. I can sympathize with you over the loss of many years of your life. But you know what, there are many more ahead that can be filled with wonderful things. As you meet new, true friends, you will find your life is really a life now; one that you can control and not be controlled by a man-made organization. You made a very wise decision and handled yourself well.

They act worse than the world !
by ScaryHairy inwhen growing up, have you ever notice what the "good witnesses" got away with ?
i mean if you were baptized, and pioneering or out alot in service, you couldnt do anything wrong.
i have heard of booze, immoral behaivor, and etc ... are the norm for young get togethers now.

I used to hear the stories all the time from my kids. It was apalling what those goody-goodies were really doing. And of course they never got in trouble. I'm sure we've all seen it.

Why should this make sense when nothing else does? How many times have we seen quotes from them and just taken them for granted that they were accurate? No doubt it protects them in some obscure, legal manner.
