just googling the watchtower and i came across the watchtower trial fund raiser corp. it mentions a book called 'game over' and is actually quite interesting.

this subject brings to mind the possibility of a law suit re the blood issue and where it might lead.

does anyone know what happened to this book and if the wtbs did sue the authors?

Here's a thought - Maybe the WTBTS set that site up themselves and is keeping the money. Maybe they wanted to draw attention away from other apostate websites and use a little theocratic deception to get some more money. It could be true......

-Has a codemnation for any kind of behavior if it involves a worldly person or an inactive/df'd/da'd jw

JW Events, Dress Codes and You

if you were to attend say a wedding or a funeral that was being held in the kingdom hall would you make an effort to be presentable according to jw standards or go as you are?

(we aren't talking about violating codes of human decency here).

would you say a woman going to a funeral should have to wear a dress or a skirt?

I would try to wear something that flaunts jw standards and still shows respect for the occasion, if that's possible. Actually, to tell you the truth, I always dressed much better at funerals than I did at meetings. At meetings, I made a huge point to dress off the wall with loud plaid jackets, crazy shoes and ties, anything to break the gray suit/white shirt mold. When it came time for a funeral at the hall, I usually switched to a plain black suit (I still put on the two tone wingtips, though).

i joined this board in march of 05, if i recall correctly.

i had da'd shortly before.. a year ago today, dec 25, 04, was hell for me.

i was already an atheist, but had not da'd yet.

Tetra, thanks for this good post. I sympathize much with what you wrote. This christmas for me is very melancholy, but I appreciate your thoughts about looking ahead to next year. It sounds like you are finding your own way and I am happy for you. Have a sip for me, dude.
