by AuldSoul inas an able apologist for jw dogma, i am wondering whether you give me answers with scriptural backing for a few questions.
in other words, whatever your answer is i would like scriptures to support the answer.
i hope that is not too much to ask.. (1) was charles taze russell ever the "faithful and wise steward" assigned to give people their "portion of meat in due season"?.

My father used to give one on "Meditating on Gods Word". In this talk we were told that yoga is bad because it encourages you to empty your mind (think about nothing), which in turn can leave room for the devil. I would find myself spacing out, thinking of nothing, then terrified that maybe the demons had invaded my head. I now take yoga and LOVE IT!!

The most cruel actions of WTS?

we hear about broken families, people that lost out on education, others that lost relatives to suicide, etc

StillA you are right, but what I can't undestand is what motivates those kids to give up a good education since after 1995 the end is not necessarily near and could be centuries away
Well you know where I point the blame on that one. I know this one jw girl who works as a receptionist and I ask her all the time if she plans on ever starting school. She says "no, I don't want to anymore it costs too much money and I want to start pioneering soon" then the dumbest thing came out her mouth one day when I asked her about her future plans: "I will stay here and just work hard to get promoted to a higher position."
Explain to me how you plan on doing that with no education? You'll be working there a good 10 years before they even look your way and by then they'll be college grads who have already taken over the place!

WIthholding really intelligent and artistic kids in the hall from going to college-having them turn down scholarships and grants. Makes me so angry because its already hard for this generation to get motivated
Of course we can't forget them allowing the already thousands who have died from the blood issue. its murder.

Stoning to death - God's loving provision
by Pleasuredome inits been a few years since i heard the bs spoken from the platform.
i recall the wts trying to gloss over the stoning punishment, saying that it would only have taken a few stones to kill or knock unconcious someone or something like that.
what were the excuses given to you for such an appalling inhuman punishment?

I saw that video that was posted above. I could not wach but it was interesting to skim through the website. Funny, how Islam is taught as a religion of peace but they practice stoning-then again so did the Israelites.
Its all so confusing. Maybe atheists are on to something!
