hi to everyone on this board - i have been around reading many of your posts for some time now but have only just felt strong enough to post my own thoughts.

the watchtower has left me with guilty feelings that i find hard to cope with at times.

my story in the "truth" started when i was 18 years old.

SHEINDLIN: I think you have to find the perpetrators and -- we talked about this the last time I was here. You put them all on a plane. You take them over the Grand Canyon with some seeds. You dump them in a parachute. And you say, "If you can survive here, survive here, but you're not going to ever be in a position again to hurt a child."

And to me, if you've hurt a child in the past, five years, 10 years, 15 years is not sufficient time for them to be incarcerated, because if you have the kind of psyche that enables you to take and sexually abuse a 5-year-old, you're never going to get better.

KING: That's a fact.
SHEINDLIN: You're never going to get better. If you wouldn't trust them taking care of your little baby, your two sons, then why should we entrust them with anybody's sons, living as a neighbor? Fifteen years later, 20 years later, 25 years later, I wouldn't trust them.

Would you trust them with your children?

KING: No.

SHEINDLIN: No. If you wouldn't trust them with your children and if you can't incarcerate them forever -- as far as I'm concerned you can incarcerate them forever - but if the law doesn't permit you to do that, the Grand Canyon is a big place. Let me go, see if they can grow seeds.

Home From Vacation/Visited German Bethel

my children and i just returned from a trip to germany where we visited my deceased husbands parents, his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, and assorted cousins, all of who are jehovahs witnesses.. before we left, the children and i agreed that since their grandparents were old people and not in good health, it would be an act of loving consideration not to cause them any further distress by announcing that we were no longer active in the congregation.

so we went prepared to attend meetings, to go out in field service and to pretend that we were still die hard jehovahs witnesses.

we packed the proper kingdom hall attire, suits, ties, ankle length dresses, as well as our bibles and songbooks.. i suppose to some this may seem the cowards way out, that i should have just announced our new status and let the chips fall where they may.

gwen and i went on a mission .

going in as a couple of "interested ones"...into a kh that i was reasonably sure i wouldn't be recongnized as the "uadna-ri" i went in with a hidden wire and tape recorder to get the "evidence".

on this site you will find links to 4 audio files... the first two are "the part", and the other two files are an audio clip of the "love bombing" attack we got when we left the first meeting, and the reading of a letter to "all congregations" concerning the discontinuation of subscriptions.. as with all jw things, it is interesting to hear the comments made by the speaker, things not written in the km, and views, attitudes, and references made when speaking of how to treat disfellowshipped family members.. all in all, i am glad we went on this misssion.
