USA service report shows a decrease of 1442 publishers

Esther was not exemplary
by rebel8 ini watched a documentary on the discovery channel about esther's life.
i was reminded that--despite how many times i was told as a jw girl that esther was a role model--here are the things she did:had sex with the king before she was even engaged to marry him.
(according to the documentary--i don't remember that part)spent much of her time doing beauty regimens.married an unbeliever.participated in politics.concealed her ethnic background and religious beliefs.purposely got her husband and his friends drunk.only stood up for her fellow believers after being begged to by her dad and even then did so by a serious of manipulations.. if there were chat rooms back then, esther probably would have visited them too.

Whilst many OT characters were not exemplary, they had God's favour because he forgave them when they repented.
That's a lesson that the wts have never learned, and probably never will

London & Windsor, 24 & 25 November
by cruzanheart inokay, here's the deal: the four of us will be in london from the evening of 22 november to 27 november.
we're staying with one of our few remaining witness friends, who is blessedly liberal about our decision not to attend meetings anymore (thank god, 'cause we really like her).
we're going to show the children some of the glories of london on wednesday the 23rd & thursday the 24th and go to windsor on friday the 25th.. if anyone wants to meet up with us either on thursday the 24th (in london) or friday the 25th (in windsor), please let us know!

New Releases.. losing pzazz??
by Inquisitor inhas anyone else noticed that in recent years the new releases have less 'chunky' content?
a book of maps, a children's book about jesus (?
), and this year's book which summarises main witness teachings (from what i gathered anyway, i haven't seen it yet).. the language is simpler, the message trimmed up nicely.. i wonder why.

The only thing new about their "new releases" are the titles on the covers. The contents are the same old, recycled bullshit they have been churning out for years.

I never tried crack.
Unfortunately, I did try the wts.
Thankfully, I got free of that addiction some years ago. The only way to stay free is to never go back.
Yeah, I can see the comparison to drug addiction.

What utter bullshit! The wts IS right though, the internet is a dangerous place to be for jws - for the wts. They might accidentally stumble on sites like freeminds and find out the truth about the troof. That's what they are really afraid of.

i really hope everything went well for you.
i know from personal experience how hard it is to get back into the swing of things after being incapacitated for quite a while, i broke my ankle some years ago and had to take a couple of months off.

Did you as a brother, do less to avoid responsibilities?
by truthseeker ini have no choice but to remain active in the "troof" - for family and friends.
one day i will leave, but that day has not yet come.. i am not happy about leading a "double life" but i really have no say - for the peace of the family and my own sanity i must maintain the status quo.
it's difficult coexisting - i go to some meetings, but i spend more time here learning about the society.

it seems to me that most jw's are into themselves and stupid relationships.
if someone is talking its about one of those two things.

To have a lifestyle you have to have a life. Most of the dubs at my old kh were so braindead they didn't know how to get a life. The elders told them how to live, and that was it. The ones still capable of independent thought soon left altogether. The rest were, and probably still are, a bunch of confused, frightened people who never dare question anything the wt says.
If that's a lifestyle, thank goodness I got out.
