My Story - Part 4
by Jeremy C inpart 1. part 2. part 3. i submitted my regular pioneer application in late 1993 so that i could officially begin on january 1st.
i knew that my application would get the rubber stamp of approval from the service committee since i had never been involved in any conduct that would prevent my appointment.. i was however slightly rebellious throughout my teens; but it was what i would refer to as a "watchtower rebelliousness".
you see, i believe that there are two forms of rebelliousness among jw youth.

Just found out my niece's husband posts here on the ONE AND ONLY JWD
by ThomasCovenant ini am very happy to find out today that my nephew-in-law (?
) has been viewing and posting on this site for a little while.. with all the recent influx of newbies, before the restrictions came into force, i missed him joining.
not that i would have known it was him.. i regret to say that i was unaware that he and my niece had stopped going to meetings for about a year and he had been doing his own research into the 't' before finally seeing the shite.. i now have only my parents and parents-in-law still in and a brother in law and his wife barely hanging on.. my family= .

Specific TV, Film, Music or Computer Game references deemed inappropriate?
by veen ini was down the pub tonight and my sister said she went to see 'sex and the city' in the cinema.
i gave a lol and said the title of the film sounds just like something which would be specifically singled out at 'inappropriate for true christians' in a district assembly talk just because of it's title.. .
immediately everyone started having a go saying that what i said sounded like the criticisms of an apostate and if i went to assemblies or meetings or read the literature anymore i would know that they don't single out specific shows etc anymore.. .

Wanting to talk to my mom
by lostsheep82 inso now that i've read as much as i could in the last 2 months and made my decision that this isn't the organization i thought it was, i'm scared, terrified, and feel helpless in some ways.
my mom is a devout jw, a pioneer, her husband of the 'anointed', and they are very 'spiritually strong'.
i'm wanting to compile a mini book to send to her with all the reasons and proof from wt books and magazines with quotes and stuff.

i still have friends and family in so i'm happy to remain inactive.. .
i was never a very good watchtower slave to begin with.. i was raised in the truth but i never really put my heart and soul into the religion.
