Not even sure how she came to that conclusion since we hadn't spoken for so long. I'd love to say that it's the cult that is controlling their minds, but honestly, I think there are people in this org. that get a rise off of making themselves better than others. These "friends" were horrible friends when I was in the truth and my attempts at "forgiving others freely and forgetting" clouded that very obvious fact.

The more time goes past the more I am coming to believe that this is true.

I would love to just go up to them and greet them. But having been close to so many it hurts too much. Maybe I will get over this.

Oh my, I was just about to start a thread about this. I actually need to read others stories. It still hurts losing all of my friends. Further I am still confused as to whether I should "let them be" when I see them or take the initiative in greeting them. I know that would hurt me more but if its the right thing to do then so be it. Please keep commenting on this one.

Crackdown on "sisters" volunteering at DCs

the wts has sent a letter to all convention overseers expressing their increasing concern at sisters "directing brothers" at district conventions.. with immediate effect (ie for dc 2008), sisters are no longer to be used as volunteers in parking and security / watchman departments.

any sisters volunteering in other departments (eg toilet cleaning) must be subordinate & follow the direction of appointed brothers.

this move will put a huge burden on the dcs in my area - nearly half the volunteers for parking are sisters and there aren't enough volunteers as it is.

You wonder why they even have first aid. As far as parking here in NYC sisters are never used for parking for just the reason Dozy mentioned. Its a wonder that it took so long to make that uniform.

We lose our loved ones twice.

i just received a message from one of my closest friends.

we grew up together and were/are as close as brothers.

his father was like a second dad to mehe died two days ago after two weeks in the hospital.

A sound rule is found in the words of the apostle Paul: "Do not go beyond the things that are written." Elders do not go beyound the things that are written in the Bible. And by extension, they do not go beyond the Bible-based counsel written in the publications of the faithful and discreet slave.

It doesn't get more contradictory than this.
