  i know this couple, and their good jw friend here at work just related it to me.

  she was talking about one of the faithful old "brothers" who had recently passed away.

  "sister husband's-high-up-in-the-organization mentioned that if armageddon doesn't come soon, the great crowd won't be "great" any longer, it'll be little, 'cause the older generation is all dying off.".

  If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things… .all evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years… as a young person you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in high school and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the way toward its finish, if not actually gone!

  This sort of thing really ticks me off! Recall also that it was often suggested that it best not to even become involved with anybody, have children, etc.

  Idiotic! I can't even begin to express the sadness, frustration, bitterness and anger I sometimes feel when I read things like this.

  If the end was to come as a thief in the night, it may come now, it may come later, but since you don't know, is it not best to make sure you make life in this "System" as pleasant as possible? Would Jehovah really want a bunch of emotionally and intellectually stunted people on his team?

  I find that while I've plucked most of the thorns from my side, there are some very deep-seated issues I need to confront still. I thought that perhaps something here might help in that respect.

  Also, like many, I find it refreshing to find others who've gone through much of the same sort of thing that I have.

  How many of you consider yourselves Pagan?

  i've started on a path that is very comfortable for me almost a year ago.

  and now i'm wanting to see how many believe a similar way.. i looked into wiccan, celtic, eclectic and other forms of pagan.

  i think that i've settled down into shamanism since that was the path my grandfather went.

  my gf and i just came back from london and scotland and this came up during the trip.

  i like to joke and make small talk with the service people and other guests i encounter while my gf thinks this behavior is rude.

  in all fareness she is from the north, conn. and only moved to the south a few years ago, while i moved from mass.

  I ask how it feels to be sneaky and deceptive for your religion? I would really hope that none of the brothers and sisters would stoop to such tactics, but really don't doubt it in light of the things I've seen....

  Elders, supposed shepherds of the congregation accusing their daughters' sexual escapades on other, less-"loved" (active) young sisters. When the truth found out, nothing done, the besmirtched and innocent young sisters scarred forever.

  Elders, who, when found to have hardcore porn collections, physically and verbally threaten young brothers with unspecified retribution if they tell.

  The constant, constant unspoken judging of your fellow brothers and sisters.

  The rare, truly beautiful, truly loving brothers and sisters being marginalized and largely ignored.

  Claritin-D most assuredly will work. The 24 hour extended has the same dosage of loratadine (10 mg) as regular Claritin with an added decongestant, pseudoephedrine. This might save you buying a whole new box of this expensive stuff. I'd suggest a store brand..

  I never have, and I consider such distinctions and labels to be spurious really. I've studied various pagan traditions as well as many of the Eastern and Western Esoteric traditions for years now though. In my spiritual practice I understand gods to be personifications of forces within nature and monotheism as an effort to combine these forces into one omnipotent God, also a personification of a force, albeit universal and all-encompassing.

  Labels such as Pagan, Christian, etc. only serve to divide rather than to unite, and I reject them. I am open to all possibilities and all realities. I am that I am.
