i haven't been to a meeting for 3 or 4 years now.
(it's been so long i can't really remember).
but lately i've considered going back.
No way jeep. You must be smokin somethin! lol. I'm sure it is a zany phase you're going thru. What, have you ran out of things to modify on your just-empty-every-pocket jeep and suddenly found yourself with all of this free time? Surely you could... give it a lift, add rocker panels, rhino-line the thing, rig up some fog lights...something!
.
i'll start.. guster.
was a fan of cat power too...wow, didnt know she had a sobriety issue. I believe it, that gal knows pain. I have not seen her live, but do like her raspy voice.
I use to see shows at the bottleneck, grenada and that sort of tiny triangle shaped bar towards the end of mass st. Does appleseed cast still play up there, lucky nun?
imo, Lawrence is inarguably the coolest part of kansas.
Dillinger Escape PlanI know this couple into hardcore music, they named their son Dillinger after that band...I'm thinking yeah but do you guys know that the band is named after a serial killer? That lil kid is bound to have issues.
has anyone seen this award winning documentary?

It was in theaters months ago and will not be released to DVD for another month or so. I am anxious to check it out. The way I understand it, it's about a group of kids in Calcutta, India and their daily exposure to the sex trade industry. Only, done in a non-exploitative nature. The kids involved receive the film's profits and with that, proper education.
I see they are showing it on Cinemax next Tuesday, only, shoot, I do not subscribe.
If anyone gets Cinemax and wants to participate in a little experiment, one in which you would watch it next Tuesday August 16th, 2005 at 7 p.m. and report back...let me know. ;)
hey my dad is going to trade my gmc 2004 single cab black truck for a new ford mustang but i dont really want that because it will be expensive.
if i had it my way i wouldve bought the 1991 honda crx this chick at work was selling for 800 bucks.
so instead of the mustang i want to trade in for a new or used honda civic.
Honda all the way tsu...
-cheaper insurance
-higher resale value in foreign make of honda speaks volumes in itself
-seems to better fit your personality...you don't seem like a muscle-car kind of guy. Could be mistaken.
Only fair to add I am biased slightly...I go for old foreign cars every time. Afterall, my dream car is an 84 Volvo 240 DL. Can you imagine kid?
i realize this isn't jw related, but i've discovered a few people on this board also have auto-immune disorders, so i thought i'd cast out a net to see who else might have this problem.
about 6 years ago, i couldn't figure out why i couldn't get over a bout of the flu.
i threw up a lot, felt feverish, my joints ached to the point where i had a hard time walking, was all around tired, diarrhea, severe moodiness, strange little skin rashes that popped up within minutes of a meal, had asthma attacks (never had asthma before) lost weight (down to about 85 - 90 lbs).
Glad you got your Celiacs Disease properly diagnosed and under control.
No allergies here or anything, but I cut dairy out of my diet because I don't like the way it makes me feel. Like you, I am in the habit of paying close attention to everything that goes into my body and notice the effects it has on me.
met up with any of the others on here, or have found others on here that you knew as a jw?
I'd love to meet Mulan... I tell her she looks like my mom. We will get together one day for coffee, I hope! My classes end next week.
I had fun meeting my new friend, SNG and his cute gf.... Just as kind and brilliant in person as he appears here...only in a surprisingly non-intimidating, totally down to earth, way.
Princess and I plan to meet one day as well...
i see the pictures of this starving country and it's a appalling and saddening to see the sea of children in this tragedy.. having said that, what the heck are these people thinking bringing into the world all these children to starve to death???!!!.
along with food, why not also send enough health professionals to educate them about reproduction and its consequences in the midst of their horrible situation???!!!

It's hardly an ignorant remark. I'm basing my knowledge on BBC world coverage.
Oh Yes, of course, BBC world news coverage, why didnt you just say so? lol...I see. Pardon me then.
So, obviously you are totally informed on such foreign matters. But when it comes to human kindness you still came across...
If the people of Africa can't help each other out... why should we care?
well, in your own words..."of the no-white-middle-class-guilt Class" . hey that's cool. I'm all about your honesty and guilt is a bitch.
I suggest you get your head out of the sand.
Err, care to elaborate?
Actually, I was being sincere. I took Cultural Anthro and learned a great deal. It was much more of a general suggestion from one student to another than a sly remark, dude.

Niger has tonnes and tonnes of food. Only the poor people are starving. If the people of Africa can't help each other out, even in their own country, why should we care?
It saddens me to read such an ignorant remark from classicist, one self-professed scholar. I suggest you sign up for a cultural anthropology class at your University.
Niger has one of the highest birth rates in the world and the population will continue to climb because the Islamic fundamentalist teachings condemn birth control as an option. Like the Aids pandemic in Africa and India there are multi-generational religious customs that have made sexual promiscuity a cultural norm...it is a complex issue....
