Great Experiences- I was serfing the net ad came across APOSTATES
by You People Are All Idiots inwow, yeah i was looking fr the theocratic ministry school oral review questions and i came across an apostate site!
the site was www.jehovahs-witness.com and was just fill of retarded apostates!
they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

**MUST READ** AlanF's email to Knocking.org
by sf inthis is a must-read that, hopefully, will stay an "active topic" for all seekers and lurkers, by bumping it to the top as often as possible.
alan wrote it in randys {dogpatch} thread regarding knocking.org documentary and in reply to the email mr. engardio sent to barbara anderson.
however, it is so vital a read that it indeed needs its own thread:.

Is it worth it?
by freedom96 inmy nearly 18 year old son lives out of state.
just recently, he agreed to look at the reasons why my wife and i don't go to the meetings anymore.
he is very active, so i was suprised to hear that he wants to know why.

I have a 19 year old son who is not a jw, but I think I would tell him that I would rather not discuss religion with him as it would be a divisive influence on the relationship that you are trying to build with him. With all of my four adult children I steer very clear of anything controversial and I want to maintain a close relationship with them and build trust that has been broken. I would value the relationship more than a discussion on religion. Find fun wholesome things to do with him...movies, recreation etc. Actions speak louder than words. When he sees that all ex jw's didn't go to the dogs that will leave quite an impression on him. just my thoughts. Enjoy your son.

Just because your brother says something doesn't make it true. No where in your initial posts did I get the idea that you don't believe in God. And yes I believe that God understand where you are at with your doubts and feelings about JW's. Would you understand if your kids questioned something? I loved your initial rebuttal. You have a good head on your shoulders. Another option would be "You believe what you believe and I believe what I believe. Let's leave it at that." Best Wishes

I am new here, former JW left years ago.
by out of the box ini want to discuss my experiences with the witnesses.
how it began: i was recruited during the time i was escaping from a violent husband to a shelter.
a witness came to my door as i was preparing to move during the day without him knowing (while he was at work).

welcome out of the box. your post name is neat....that's exactly how i felt when i left. thanks for sharing your story. i too felt bad about what I put my four kids, but apologized and still do when the occasion arises. i tell them the circumstances of becoming a jw...loneliness, feeling lost, and idiot for a husband and they understand. although i've been out of jw's for five years i've fairly new to this site and am appreciating the support here.

JW brother stopped by to awfulize about the bombing in London
by homesteader inmy brother who is a jw (who i helped into the religion when i was a dub) came to my house this morning this morning while we were having breakfast.
the first thing out of his mouth was the bombing in london and how this is the worst bombing since ww11.
then he made the comment "i wonder what this is going to lead to.

thanks everyone for your feedback. i especially appreciate the affirmations for what I was experiencing beyond the word awfulize. the words of support and well thought out replys to the use of awfulize were great. i always wanted to be part of think tank but never dreamed i'd find it here. i love the sense of humor here, in particular englishman's humor that smacks of snobbery.
ps ezekiel3....least could very well of been a typo.
