  For me,
  
  
  It began with the Witnesses stopping by and offering a Bible study, since
  I had no Bible knowledge at all, and had been curious as to what it was all about, I accepted at the age of 27.
  
  My husband and I studied off and on for a couple years, but I just could not commit to it, I had too many questions without solid answers.
  
  Then my husband died, and they swooped in full force with the resurrection hope, with the state of mind I was in, I didn’t have the emotional energy to fend them off any longer. I went along with it, hoping against hope, that the resurrection was a real deal.
  
  I was baptized within the year, and married an MS the following year.
  
  
  I would say the "Perfect Storm" for me was personal tragedy.

  Why would ALMIGHTY god need a Flood?

  leaving out all the obvious problems with a global flood,why would almighty god need a flood at all,with its attendant problems of gathering animals and building arks etc.when he obviously had the power just to destroy the "wicked" and just leave noah and family alive.. after all he destroyed just the first born in egypt (what had they done to offend him?

  ) so why not just snuff out who he wants to,why a flood?.

  many, many thanks .... my first loaf of bread ever out of the oven is irish soda bread.

  That sounds "Wonderful" CoCo...

  My Mother-in-Law used to bake us a loaf of fresh baked bread once a week, all different kinds, along with her homemade cherry preserves, talk about heaven in your mouth !!

  I miss her... (RIP).

  On the other hand, I can barely bake biscuits out of a can...

  * my bush is really overgrown round the front and my back passage has fungus growing in it.

  * my neighbour has got this huge tool that vibrates the whole house and i just can't take it anymore.

  our little party here is coming to a close and i am very sad about that.

  i remember on my high school graduation day in june of 1972, we were all standing in the cafeteria getting our caps and gowns on and i looked around the room at all these people i had literally grown up with for 18 years and thought "this is the last time we are all going to be all together" and it made me cry.

  i have come to depend on and love you guys so much.

  have posted this on the other thread but just making this one as well:

  i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.

  he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.
