  that is one dr, prob done in the "ideal" testing...

  there are so many factors that can happen!

  I've helped with alot of surgeries, and not many of them are "ideal"!!

  Do You Think It's Improper To Make Fun Of The Name "Jehovah"?

  or they'll say instead of jehovah's witnesses, "hovies"....etc.. do you think that it's appropriate?.

  what is the policy for disfellowshipped people in your family for when they get sick?

  for instance.

  let's say your disfellowshipped son/daughter gets seriously sick and needs someone to help take care of this.

  True, TM....but on the other hand, who, from a congregation, is actually gonna take the

  time to care for someone sick?? I know of several cases, where the df'd person was the

  only one will to do this...

  so much for tending to the sick and old!!

  Baby(ies) Died From Heat At Convention?

  i recall reading from one source how babies were overcome by the heat at a jw convention, with at least one death.. if i'm not mistaken, this was in houston, texas, at the astrodome.. the story goes that doctors at the convention wanted an advisory about the heat read from the platform, but convention officials refused, stating that only wt related material was to be read.. it was stated that the doctors became so upset at this that they quit the wt on the spot!.

  has anyone else heard or read that story?.

  as someone who is wiccan, i do not have a problem with someone in politics like o'donnell saying she did witchcraft in the background.

  however, i must say, i think she is full of crap.

  as if she did 'date a witch' like she said ... she would not have had her first date on a 'satanic alter.

  are several on this board, and i'm sure more..that don't tell!

  but it is much more than the harry potter movies...and the
  "stigma" from the media doesn't help...

  once again my wife and i were sent the " witness only " wt version by our lurking jw friend that they study at wt study meetings.

  and once again wt society is showing very controlling tendencies towards it's jw members.. do any of you remember the " old days " in the 1970's or early 1980's when witnesses used to have goody night after book study ?

  or you would have a " potluck picnic " with about 30 to 40 people getting to know one another to draw close as friends outside the confines of the kingdom hall ?

  penfriend for Witness in Prison

  would anyone out there like to correspond with a 46 year old afro american witness who is serving a long term prison sentence in the us?

  he would really like someone to write to him.

  prison is a lonely place - fortunately he has his belief to keep him strong..
