I'm glad he called it off... but I hope he does a lot more than just say, "we are now against you doing this... strongly..." and then wash his hands of all those people who are STILL going to do it.

If you read on his FB page, and also on his own website (if its back up) then people were saying that they were going to burn Qu'ran's in their backyards and at ground zero, even if he cancelled. You can't work people up into a frenzy and then think that they're going to stop just because you say so. I hope they don't do it, and probably less will do it because he said he won't now... but we'll have to see I guess.
On the plus side, what people say they're going to do, and what they actually get up and do, are two different things.
