  Whats that term??

  so i am driving with my oldest the other day and she says..... i was reading the watchtower at the meeting and thought.... "the watchtower and awake are just like... what is that stuff that countries put out when they are at war?...

  propaganda... yeah, they only give you one side of something and you have to listen to them because they are chosen".

  i praised allah right then and there!!!

  Looking for experiences from those who are married with kids and have dissacociated

  this is a question for those who officially left the organisation and are married; and your spouse and kids are still in.'.

  i just wanted to find out what your experience has been when you dissacociated.the following questions go through my mind all the time.

  it always comes back to the what if's!.

  If you are deemed a 'a spiritual danger' to your spouse they may recommend a separation which most likely would lead to a divorce anyway. I think in most cases elders won't flat out say 'get a divorce' but they imply it would be best and let the jw think it was their own idea or rather that of the evil ubm who doesn't love jah.

  Do whatever you can to protect children from this cult. Let them play sports, music, art, etc.... let them be normal so they can avoid lifelong mental, emotional and spiritual traumas. AND so that one day they won't shun you.

  Sparrowdown has a good point and I have tried it with my jw. Naturally they won't read anything you have to offer and perhaps they will leave you alone finally. Or do below-

  Can you send the cease and desist letter? this is from a post of mine 9 yrs ago, you will have to update the address of the wt. The letter works and will eventually make its way to the elders.

  • I have given this out many times but darn if I didn't save it somewhere so I have to keep retyping it, so here it is. I have sent the letter to the local kh & NY and told my jw to keep them away and still they persist. The wt considers the letter good for only one year. Many kh's do not have mailboxes so if you attempt to sent locally it will be returned to you.

  To kill or not to kill

  how many jws would kill a violent rapist in there home or protect their family with lethal means .

  the one thing i love about the usa is the right to defend oneself with lethal force in their own home.

  it's not that i want to kill someone but better them dead than my children..

  It depends on what the latest wt rag has said about it or the milieu of the current cong.

  I know this because over the years I have asked my jw that very question, would he, if needed protect me & our kids? if that was the only option? Sometimes the answer was, "well I would have to think about it" ( never mind that if someone is in the act of strangling/raping your wife or children there is not a whole lot of time to mull it over) other times it was, "yes, you are allowed to protect your family even if it involves deadly force". So there you have it, depends on what the wt has to say about at the moment. That was my experience anyway.

  My jw thinks that people really would like to believe but they just can't live the lifestyle because they prefer to be 'sinners'. sigh. Ask a jw if they are sinners and they hem & haw and say things like they are not 'intentional sinners" like the rest of slobs. hmmm, I am rather negative today, yep, it is a meeting night.

  surely evidence that she no longer sees herself as even a jw associate, what's more likely does not give a stuff what her fomer loving brothers and sisters may think.. .

  All I can tell you is that I once, long ago, posted a pic to my jw about her and her, umm, well, lets just say her well endowed attributes, and my jw was appalled and accused me of sending him porn. It was a pic posted from a national news source, not porn, not photo shopped. At any rate he did not appreciate it!! to say the least. I imagine he would say she is not a 'real' jw anyway by the pic you posted. That is the stock answer I get when anything negative is viewed by a current jw.

  The most dangerous congregations are the isolated ones that only have 1 or 2 elders

  the elders only have to fake it for cos visit, then the poor sheep get shorn for anther 6 months and just when publisher billy thinks the co will save their souls from these tyrants elders a new co comes onto the seen, and of course he is trained only to listen to the elders.

  so the vicious cycle of religious rape continues until billy and his mates burnout..

  Aren't they all generally small congs? less than 140 or so? I have no clue, but that was my understanding. Naturally me & my jw have completely different view of just why the congs must be so small. Me, cults, him, so we can "know" the individuals in each cong etc.... me, quacks like a duck.............stopped beating my head against that wall long ago....
