waton,
Won't a jw use the overlapping generation thing to answer that?
hello there.. my father just claimed that the good thing about being a witness was how they just let the bible interpret itself.
now i know the irony in this statement, but i dont know what to show him that he just cant discard with some ignorant excuse.
any ideas?
waton,
Won't a jw use the overlapping generation thing to answer that?
i could only think of weddings and wedding anniversaries .
Line dancing? really? what is the rational on that one?
My jw says jw's really know how to party and dance up a storm at weddings. Keeping in mind he never actually went to one....... I laughed so hard when he told me that, guess you had to be there.
leah remini’s anti-scientology doc: former celeb wrangler admits how tom cruise was “surrounded” and isolated.

"leah remini’s anti-scientology documentary on a&e is scorching.
"Looks like Leah Remini has her eye's on the JWs for her next TV documentary.."- I hope so!
no doubt we have all heard that well used "illustration" in public talks etc over the years:.
"if you were handed a glass of water that looked pure, but were told it has just a tiny drop of poison in it, would you drink it?".
the society has used that illustration at length to say we should avoid all influences of every part of the world.. but, as we know, the society has had a track record of errors, false ideas and doctrines.
On one hand they say,"would you drink a glass of water if it had just a tiny bit of poison in it?" yet, on the other hand they will often admit, "even if it's not the truth it is still the best way to live".
In my mind they admit that they in fact will drink a glass with a tiny bit of poison by staying in the cult.
If it's not the 'truth' or completely the truth then it must be false, or, spiritually endangerment, if you will. By admitting that some parts may not be 'truth' then they are admitting that they are teaching and promoting falsehood in re: to God. Wouldn't you think this would be a bigger deal to a true believer? to knowingly be teaching a falsehood about God?
But then I don't think the average jw or watchtower follower (wf, as my friend likes to call them) really cares all that much about God, they care more about what men think and belonging to an exclusive club that hopefully will admit them entrance into their fictional paradise earth if they can just to enough to earn that privilege .
http;www.worlstarhipop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhmg115hx2qp8inyuo.went too far, man answers the door naked when jw's appear..https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=akj2w94el_a...oh hell search, went to far, man answers the door naked when jw's appear, a young black male......it was e-mail to me and i'am using the same address but not working for me,hopefully you will find it.
a young jw child was present, not good.......
Some people are actually nudists. I remember a family long ago before it was as prevalent as it may be today and they all were naked all the time if they were home. I was a kid and when we heard about this we all thought it strange, but it does happen in some families.
Easy way to protect jw kids and adults, quit knocking on strangers doors, stop going where you haven't been invited.
jw believe that jworg is the best website and most translated in the world.. i heard this today in streetservice.
there was already a thread about this subject.
anybody can link it?.
"It's also surprisingly hgh in the most visited rankings."- I wonder how much of that is from apostates?
That's exactly why I won't click on any link going to the official jw site. jw's, like mine, would say something on the order of, " many people like yourself (meaning me) and others really do believe in jw doctrines and beliefs but you just don't want to change your lifestyle. Just look at our rankings and how many people go there daily for spiritual teaching". Years ago they would brag about placing so many rags and now they just have replaced that with how many clicks they get.
pork chops, grits-broccoli-cheese casserole, celery & green onions smothered in turkey broth.. oh, frabjous day, calloo callay!.
or, something like that.. tee hee hee..
Midwesterner here, never had grits either. Went down south and still couldn't bring myself to have corn soaked in lye mush. It just doesn't seem right, using lye like that. In my mind lye is for making soap and highly caustic. Next time I get down south I will have to try it, southerners seem to love it.
Glad you have such a nice grandson Snowbird!
i could only think of weddings and wedding anniversaries .
If it is fun, don't do it!
If it involves seeing non jw family members, don't do it!
If it involves giving someone a gift, don't do it!
I still don't get why they can do anniversaries, it is really just a celebration of the 'birth-date' of your marriage. I know, I know, they answer with 'marriage was instituted by God....' well, what is birth? yeah, we all have had this conversation a million times now........
how do jw's view the following scripture or how differently does it read in their version?.
1 timothy 5:8- anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.-niv.
but if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.-kjv.
Thanks for looking it up in NWT Vanderhoven.
this is my first time making an o.p.
an elder told me that he had access to a website online that had all the old bound volumes and books.
also, he made sure to say it was not an apostate website, but a 'legit' website made by brothers.
Thanks Magnum!
