Remember some old quote from a court case years ago where a jw said if the wt said this book was green (or was it black?) he would believe it? That is how I see jw's, no matter what happens there will always be diehards trying to justify any and all changes. Sadly my jw is one of them I think.
I'm too lazy at the moment to look up what exactly I am referencing but I know some of you know what I am talking about.
I think many jw's have so much invested in their 'faith' that giving it up would be admitting they were wrong and they just can't bring themselves to admit they were hoodwinked. Besides, it's the best way to live even if they are wrong.......blah.

At times I actually carry sticker to put on the rags if I see them. Usually pointing out jwfacts.com or something about pedophiles. You could also print out all the heinous articles about jw's (ARC, etc..) and leave them out. If HR allows the jw to leave religious literature out they must be fair and allow you to leave out your literature as well.
Print out some of the recent leaked documents and leave them next to the wt rags.
If a jw leaves literature out for the public they have in essence given them to the public to do with as they please, defacing them should not be an issue.
If all else fails tell HR you will be contacting the Freedom of Religion folks and an attorney.

How do they handle a jw death with a ubm spouse? Would they have a service/memorial regardless of what the family wants? would they show up at a service held by the family?

Manmade rules
by Jrjw ini was talking to someone a few years ago and he said in his congregation they have a rail of white shirts prepared in the cloakroom for if a speaker doesn't have a white shirt on.
it was a rule in their hall that all brothers in the platform must wear white shirts when going talks and if the speaker won't comply when asked to change into the shirt they provide an elder in the congregation will do the talk instead.
i have never known any other halls do it so it must be a rule the elders have made up without gb input.

Stories like this have been posted on and off through the years and I personally like hearing them because it just further proves my belief that the whole damn org is nuts.
When my jw first joined up and we were still discussing anything jw related I would tell him some of these stories and he claimed (as he always does) that they are just apostate lies to make the borg look bad and make it sound insane. I say, "walks like a duck....."
If you look at what he is actually saying, I guess he is agreeing that those stories are nuts and if true would rock his world too much to consciously know that all of it is insane and nothing more than man made rules that have nothing to do with God.

An Active JW Sister Modelling For Me
by pale.emperor insince leaving the borg i jumped both feet first into classes i've always wanted to do but was never "allowed" to.
two of which are life drawing and photography.
i've been studying for almost two years now and have seen more nude men and women in our classes than i care to remember.. today in the photography studio i was working in with three others (two women, one man) we were told we had a new person modelling for us.

I'm sure if I told my jw about this story he would say "she's not a real jw".

"Dr Phil doesnt really know the correct pronunciation and keeps using the title "Jehovah Witness" to signify the group (plural)."- That is how everybody I know pronounces it (non jw naturally) John is a jehovah witness, he is a big jehovah (meaning zealous), the jehovahs were in the neighborhood today, three jehovah's came to the door and so on. I don't think most have even caught on to the term 'jw's' to signify the group.

While I agree that Dr Phil will not be the catalyst to bring down the jw's and I personally do not watch his show or those like it on a regular basis, it will show some a little bit how the jw's work and are a cult/high control group. There was a clip where Dr Phil said something to the effect that if one member of the family was not welcome somewhere then he wouldn't go, and would not tolerate the shunning of his wife.......
Most people still know very little about jw's. They annoy us on Sat morn, don't salute the flag and don't take blood. If they know that much.
