According to my Italian teacher, Da Vinci was a good artist, scientist etc. but the one thing he wasn't good at was religion, Da Vinci loved human bodies, he got himself baptised as a Catholic, but Da Vinci would go to hospitals and want to cut people up and see how the body inside works, to people who are about to die in a couple of days or so, The Pope soon heard about this, and of cause its not nice to cut people up while still living and at the time the Catholic church was against it so the pope excommunicated Da Vinci, so Da vinci made up the code to get back at the Catholic church.

Thou shall not kill? Makes no sense?
by free2beme ini always thought, when reading the bible, that the commandment "thou shall not kill" made no sense.
after all, the god who supposely gave it commanded his own people to kill.
so i wonder, did that god actually mean, "thou shall not murder?

Simple, don't Kill don't pull out a gun and shoot people! I think thoughts on murder and wishing death is also breaking the commandmant, along with Suicide and suicidal thoughts
I don't think anyone has the right to take a life of another, but good point with the hitlar thing, couldn't we just jail him for life?

What a Prat!
by ozziepost inthis evening mrs ozzie and i went to our favorite local restaurant - it's out in the outer suburbs, a lovely small thai restaurant - well, any food eaten with chopsticks is okay with us!.
anyway, we entered and there at a middle table sat a family of three - father, mother and daughter.
nothing unusual about that except, well it was the badge card that caught my eye.

Hello, sorry my account stuffed up yesterday and I couldn't log in
In Australia alcohol advertising is allowed but people have problems with it because it exploits women and is real controversial, and it encourages young people to drink. Anyone seen the couger add? with the blond women with big breasts wearing barely anything serving alcohol to a man.
Well I am on the negative team saying that alcohol advertising should be allowed. Lost by one point though.
But we can still debate the topic for the fun of it on this thread.
I was first speaker my main arguments was the economy, the fact that alcohol is legal, about winerys in Australia and how its one of our major tourist attractions is the wine tours, we have wine tours Australia wide.
And I also talked about the Cultures, how italians drink a glass of wine at dinner and how they give their children wine at dinner.
Any Aussies here went on a wine tour? I went on one in South Australia when I was about 7-8 years old

Uh-hum, dinner actually - at eight in the evening, and as i said, miles away from the Superdome - that's miles and miles!! Of course he was a prat!
oh lol! me didn't have much sleep didn't read your post properly lol!
I'm sure he lived nearby Ozzie, don't think he'd go to the trouble of wasting all that petrol otherwise.
Name tag? haha! nothing can be more disturbing then walking around the shops forgetting you left your name tag on then a complete stranger comes up to you and say "hi (name)!" then you'd respond "umm who are you and how do you know my name?"
