Judge Rutherford, True Believer or Con Man?

or was he a con man that bluffed his way through life?
as he once remarked to an associate.. if he was a true believer, how could he justify the land and house beth sarim, both of which were specifically bought for and built for his use?.

Rutherford may well have been convinced that Russell had been used by God--and that he, as the successor, had a responsibility to carry the torch.
If that is the case, why then didn't he honor Russell's last will and testiment instead of finding a legal loophole as an opportunity to further his own agenda on how the organization should be run. Instead, since Russell's last will and testiment was not legally "confirmed", it was tossed out and he later lied and said there never was one--- according to Raymond Franz's book Crisis of Conscious.

Your job, what is it, what do people think you do?
by wanderlustguy ini'm a partner in a national communcations company, we install services for time warner and dish network as well as other clients.
my responsibilities include client acquisition and maintinence, as well as developing the strategy we are using to grow our business by taking over markets from our competitiors.
currently we have 3 offices and about 40 employees in la, ny, and nc, with corporate offices in fl.. my family and friends think i work on computers making minimum wage.

I listen to EF's other MDs dictation and try to decipher what they are trying to say since most talk into the recording device as if they are on fire. The reports that I type are what EF shuffles back and forth from his office and to the insurance companies.

by LongHairGal ini have to laugh at how hard they try to bring people in by knocking on doors and rv's - but once the people are in they are pushing them out the back door with both hands!
we all remember how hard it was to stay there (even if you believed it all) - let alone the head-trips they put you through!!

Crazy religion or not, a man in his 30's who 'sets his sights' on girls in their late teens is going to be seen as creepy.
That is very common in the organization. I have seen several elders with wifes 12 years younger than them.
