AWAKE!, Watchtower," and Book titles that lie
by gumby in"good news for all mankind".
"the bible - a book for all mankind".
all of these title make it sound as if the world in general will oneday experience these things and not to worry.. the fact of the matter is.....jehovah's witnesses don't believe this at all.

The Finished Mystery (studies in the scriptures)-- when did it finish? (1918?)
Then Is Finished. The Mystery of God-- After more than 40 years the supposedly already "finished" mystery needed a little revamping.

Gays and the Bible.
by gumby infirst of all.....i ain't bashin gays here......just have a question.. this morning i read in the paper that the united church of christ has unanimously approved of same sex marriage.
this now is the largest protestant sect who has approved of gay marriages.. my question is.......how does religion justify a way of life the bible condems as sinful?
what is their scriptural argument to justify this action as proper?.

I personally cannot reconcile homosexuality and the bible.
Not meaning to side step the issue but the same question can be raised about straight people getting a divorce without grounds of adultery (or should I say pornea which covers more sexual immorality) however many religions condone that. Why?

Watchtower and UN?
by rambaldi inis this issue of the watchtower being part of the un department of public information of any significance?
at the district conventions of jehovahs witnesses there are flags of the united states and other sovereign government such as states or other countries hanging from the buildings.
the governing body and the watchtower society rent buildings which become the equivalent of kingdom halls for the weekend.

I would be a non-issue if you weren't a JW. If you are a JW and thinking about using the facilities at the YMCA, you might want to check and see what the "faithful slave" has to say about it in the bound volumes of The Watchtower.
I'm sure if it was a non-issue, they wouldn't have wasted any trees and ink printing and distributing information about that topic.

Brooke:
Is he just a family practice physician? If so, I am surprised that he didn't recommend or refer you to a specialist which is what most physicians do now. Did he even consult a specialist before giving you a diagnosis or do you even know if he did or not? A second opinion never hurts, only your checkbook, and if it has been a chronic problem I definitely would get a second opinion.

EF, I agree; in addition to a government that will not take away individual's "pursuit of happiness" that is suppose to be a guarantee in the constitution and not just tyranny of the majority.

still going to meetings, service, etc. and associating with people who would give me the time of day only because I was in the troof and going to meetings and watching the attendence of meetings go lower and lower
