I was caught. IT almost felt good. IT was a very cleansing experience to go before a bunch of power hungry janitors and walk away with my dignity and pride intact... I beat the system!

Were you caught, did you confess, or did you run?
by sass_my_frass inhi, fyi: d'f'd a month ago, and glad you're all here.
i'm just assessing the sum of the madness that happened since my parents guilt-tripped me into confessing what got me disfellowshipped.
i do very sharply recall that at the moment i decided to do so i had an overwhelming feeling of relief which at the time i thought was me hating the lying about what i'd done and wanting to come clean about that and clear my conscience as a witness, but have since thought might have been me hating the lying about how i feel about the organisation and wanting to come clean about that as a human, ie, whether i'd turned the corner as a witness or i was glad to be getting away from it.

i swear i couldn't understand one word they said... after 3 beers it was all good..... now i know where all the cute chicks are... holy hell!
they all dance like strippers... even the 10 year olds (very gross).... glad to say this didn't hold a candle to motley crue, u2, green day or even maroon5....(last week) and seeing the crue again in august at red rocks!

U/D- perhaps the reason for the attendance being sad is that you live in Colorado! Here in NC we pack out our rap concerts, but I NEVER go

What are some of the "Get rich quick businesses" the witnesses tried?
by mjarka911 ini remember many witness businesses that would pop up.
usually they would say "i'll just offer it to the friends to get started, then when it takes off i can pioneer".
it was usually one after the other for the same people.

Ok- there is a kid who I absolutely HATE and his dad owns a "Colors on Parade" franchise. Don't forget all the JW sanctioned body shopped owned by, worked in by, and paid for by: Dubs.
And there are two brothers in my cong who started this company... And it has taken off quite well:

Can brothers wear "bow ties" instead of "ties"?
by JH inyesterday, a brother from another congregation gave the talk.
the first thing that i noticed was that he was wearing a "bow tie" instead of a conventional tie.
he was also black.

with the young buck Dubs is the Fast and the Furious Civic look alike cars, with all the cool graphics, NOS etc.
Proud to say I do not conform to that... Everybody knows service vehicles have more room for *ahem* other things.
And I guess it is ok to wear a bow tie. It's just distracting as hell when you give a talk... And no one will take you seriously anymore.

I would love to go. I think upon my graduation from high school i will attend one, merely as a present to myself. That is, if anyone will have me.
And no , i've never met any posters on here- but i'd love too! You know how to reach me.

For those of you questioning the "can;t learn klingon thing" I present:
g95 12/8 pp. 7-8 A Look at Today?s Science Fiction ******
On the other hand, Christians who choose to enjoy various forms of fiction as an occasional diversion do well to remember Solomon?s warning: "To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh." (Ecclesiastes 12:12) Many in today?s world have clearly gone overboard in their devotion to science-fiction books and movies. Science-fiction clubs and conventions have proliferated. According to Time magazine, Star Trek fans on five continents have devoted themselves to learning the fictitious language Klingon, which was featured in Star Trek TV shows and movies. Such extreme behavior does not harmonize with the Bible?s counsel at 1 Peter 1:13: "Keep your senses completely ["keep balanced," footnote]."
Even at its best, science fiction cannot satisfy man?s curiosity about what the future holds. Those who really want to know the future must turn to a source that is certain. We will discuss this in our next article.

I got privately marked by parents because I was the perfect fall person. We all would go out and get stupid and everyone else had parents or were the elders kids. They got talked to and I would get the official public reproof so that everyone could see the situation was pinned on someone. The reasoning told to me was that I was more mature and the kids all looked to me, that I was infuential...
PLEASE STOP READING MY MIND!!! That is SO me. I get blamed for everything- even though most of it is my fault....

So in my College level English class, We had to write an essay about how we view the world. We had to discuss our postion in the world and whatnot. Here's what i had to say. And if you have any feedback... please tell me. :::
Like a link in a chain, it is my job to pull my weight. If I can?t pull that weight, or develop a weakness, I am responsible to all the other links. In some situations, the removal of my link leaves two purposeless sections of chain. In other situations, the removal of my link turns a decent chain into two very purposeful, easy to maneuver chains.
I am religiously at odds with myself. It has created a division in my family that makes day-to-day life considerably difficult. To think that a few bad decisions can affect things for so long thereafter has been a disturbing realization.
The "my way or the highway" attitude that has surfaced in a few of those I truly love and care for has been a swing at the pillars supporting my relationship with them. To rebuild those pillars will be timely and costly --while in the end beneficial-- and to leave those pillars to crumble would only render another bridge permanently closed.
To have an optimistic or pessimistic outlook on life is only for those who are satisfied with being a spectator of life. Those on the field, like myself, must keep the goal in mind and continue running if they ever want the game to end.
The past is something that is behind me. To dwell in it is like dancing with your shadow. Every move will be mirrored and come as no surprise. And when you finally do look up, you will see a multitude of confused looks and hear nothing but mumbling and laughter.
Many people talk about a magical ratio of "Chiefs" to "Indians". Too many of either group can cause disorder. In an attempt to humble me, I have been asked if I am a "Chief" or an "Indian". I could never honestly answer that question until recently. Now I know: I'm an Indian. An Indian Chief. The first step to being able to lead is knowing how to follow. I'm learning to follow.
Much like a rainstorm is a never a single drop of rain, an issue is never one thing that can be easily handled. It all connects and flows to together like a spider's web. If there's a bug at the bottom, you'll feel it up top too. So I just kill the bug, and wait in the corner for the next one.
I'm an addict. I want, need, and strive for attention. The more I try to go without it, the more I see opportunities for it around me. And like any ex-junkie, on occasion you delve back in and come out angry with yourself, yet oddly satisfied.
