as long as the sex is great and they can still make you laugh....marriage is priceless. (Now where did I hear this from???)
oh yeah, I just saved alot on my auto insurance!!

yet another friend's marriage has broken down(5th), this one i did not predict at all.
it came as a shock to me.
they got married after 10 years of living together so it's not like they didn't know each other.
as long as the sex is great and they can still make you laugh....marriage is priceless. (Now where did I hear this from???)
oh yeah, I just saved alot on my auto insurance!!

if your jw family members were hurt by someone physically, or financially (ripped off), emotionally or otherwise would you feel sympathy for them and help them?
I'm helping my elderly JW mother right now. she's been living with my family and we take care of her basic needs. my mother no longer attends the meetings, she doesn't have that zeal for the truth anymore. My mother use to condem my lifestyle, now she see it's not about going door to door preaching but actually caring for a person who is in need.
desiderata .
go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
as far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
I this poem thank you for posting it.
for one of my graduation ideas I print this poem out on nice paper and give it to the graduate along with a nice gift. so far everyone that got this poem has enjoyed reading it.

ok, i'm looking for a little more advice.
it's christmas, i'm an exceptionally festive person (seriously, i start listening to christmas music the day after halloween, i'm not kidding, i love christmas!!
), and as anyone who's read my other topics and posts knows, i'm dating an unbaptized, inactive jw who hasn't been to the kh in forever but still completely and utterly despises christmas and all things associated with it (and other holidays, too, he just hates celebrations).. so the question is, how does one deal with this situation??
Merry Christmas Becka,
Here's my two cents...you do not have to change your way of celebrating the holidays. If your inactive JW boyfriend is serious about your relationship. He needs to learn to let go of his JW religious beliefs and compromise with you.
To me if you continue with this relationship with him, you will eventually lose your idenity and he will control where you live, who you can see and what is important to you...like celebrating holiday events.
The next time you talk with your boyfriend try saying, "Merry Christmas, I love you!!" see what his response is...

to see how i was since it's been a while since i've been at my church.
he didnt call to ask if i still believed in god.
he didnt call to ask if i doubted that he and the other pastors represented god.
I'm happy for you
it's feels good to know your pastor cares enough for you to give you a call, you are loved.
Merry Christmas

hi guys, haven't posted in a while, but i don't see this topic covered: is anyone else out there as christmas retarted as me?
i feel so awkward stumbling over the words "merry christmas" to friends.
also, who do you buy for?
I this time of the year, when I first started to celebrate Christmas it was stressful and I had alot of guilt, then I realized to let go and enjoy the holiday season. Some helpful hints: if you don't feel like decorating or giving gifts that's fine. Just enjoy the season. My JW mother said to me recently, Santa Clause is fake! I said to my mother I know Santa not real, but it's the idea behind giving gifts...then I said to my mother, it's always better to give than receive.
Merry Christmas everybody!!!

fudge is one.
have you considered making white chocolate fudge?......or adding creme de cocoa for "white russian" fudge?
or adding amaretto for "cherries in the snow" fudge?
I like giving Christmas-grams to my sisters and children. fill a holiday cup with holiday candy and attach a computer or home made Christmas card and red/green/white helium balloons.
It really doesn't matter what a real man drives...but what makes a real man, can that "real man" fixes that ride he drives.
yeah, pimp my ride!!!
