  usually elders come over a few days before to invite me, but they didn't come yet....

  my parents always invite me but of course i never go.

  Well I am going to go this year just because it has not been a year since my last meeting. I don't know what next year will bring. Its a tough battle between God and Family. I just don't(and need) want hell right now but I will stand my ground and be firm with my choices.

  I dont know your circumstances but i used to go years ago to the memorial or a meeting here and there just to make my parents happy but i found that it just gave them false hope

  i got baptised when i was 12 or 13 pretty much just to fit in, "all the kids were doing it", in fact they had to make an announcement to refrain from cheering and making the arsenio hall woop, woop cheer during baptisms cause the majority of people getting baptised were kids and they all had their friends cheering them like they had just scored a touchdown in the super bowl. i never got dfd/da'd that i know of but because of my actions i was pretty much da'd, my family shunned me at first but i told my elder father that i didnt believe that my baptism 'counted' because i was just doing it to fit in and didnt really know what i was getting into and that in fact in the moment of actual baptism when you are presumed to have dedicated your life to god er the wtbts, i didnt do it. well i guess he agreed cause he has been cool with me ever since, i also told him that i didnt think that jesus would treat anyone in his family like that and i think that got to him too.

  Is obesity a disability?

  hi all, just dropping by and throwing out a question or two.. two of our department managers are both very obese and therefore cannot do all the tasks that their positions require of them.

  as a result of that, the peak time workers, those working while the store is most busiest, end of doing a lot of the physical work they leave for us.

  it gets pretty hectic when people are trying to shop and we are getting out ladders and stocking shelves.

  It's not that simple. Lots of thin people eat the same foods and guess what? They are still thin

  you're right, i'm not saying that because someone is thin means that they are necessarily healthy eaters, all i'm saying is that if you are overweight it means that you need to eat more healthy (not neccessarily less) and exercise more. its not 'fair' that some people can eat whatever they want but really they are hurting themselves as well, it just isnt as apparent just by looking at them.

  Anyone ever beat a speeding ticket (not that I would have one)

  ok this friend of mine (hahahah) got a ticket in san antonio.

  he was guilty as sin, 79 in a 65 and passed a plain jane cop car, the three lane changes (no signal) did'nt help.

  this 'guy' now has ten tickets in three states, he always says he will fight one.

  if its not too far just go to the court date, if the cop doesnt show, you automatically get off and even if he does the judge might reduce the charge to something that has less impact on your insurance premiums. it doesnt hurt to try.

  i got a ticket in Louisiana and i beat it by hiring a lawyer, he charged the same as the cost of the ticket but it kept it off my record, i didnt even have to go to court, i lived like 5 hrs away.

  i think that your weight and what you eat are directly correlated, it is no coincidence that people in the US have gotten fatter and fatter as their diet has become more processed, higher in fat, sugar etc. There are very few fat people in 3rd world countries. there are medical conditions that contribute to weight gain such as diabetes, but then diabetes in the type 2 variety is caused by diet. i have worked in the medical field so i am not a complete idiot in regards to this subject but nevertheless this is just my opinion so dont flame me.

  the only thing that i think is pretty cool about the dubs is that you can go pretty much anywhere as a dub and if you dont know anyone there will be dubs who will help you, even give you a place to stay etc. I have seen this with my family many times, now it could have to do with the fact that my father is an elder and my sisters are pioneers/elders wives.

  biblically nothing because they twist too many things and i dont believe in the bible any way
