Do you exercise or isn't that your thing.
by LouBelle infor the last 5 and 1/2 weeks i have been at the gym mostly twice a day except saturdays - i only have one training session.
each of my sessions is at least an hour long but can go for two hours.
i do various cardio in the evenings and do strength training in the morning.

Are you nuts? To feel loved you have to be shown love, and quite frankly Jehovah hasn't shown any love toward me ever!!!

Violations of privacy re: postal mail by JWs
by Dogpatch ini have been sending out orders of books to jws, ex-jws and others for over 25 years.
sometimes plain wrap to keep the family's noses out of it.
over the years i have seen the same constant pattern: whenever the questioning jw lives with or near family members who are currently jws, they want to break open the mail to see what others are ordering!!

If anyone but you opens your mail, then it is a felony offense (federal that is) don't put up with their crap, call the local postal police and tell them what you suspected happened. They will investigate and bring charges against anyone intercepting "your" mail. Don't let it go call the postal authorities and let them take the necessary action. People need to learn religious reasoning doesn't trump federal, state, or even local laws.

Does Wearing Your Nations Uniform Automatically Ensure a High Moral Ground?
by hillary_step ini realize that the contents of this thread may enflame the passions of those on all sides of the house.
if your sensibilities are easily damaged, you take yourself to seriously, or your humor is wanting, then be warned this may not be the thread for you.. i have been reading with interest a thread on this board today that is discussing the treatment of us veterans.
i have noticed that when such subjects are discussed there is an automatic assumption that those who don the uniforms of their respective nations, they somehow are automatically walking on a higher moral ground.. i find it all the more puzzling that those who cry the loudest for 'special' treatment for soldiers, and by special i mean as compared to the rest of the working masses, seem to be of an republican bent.

I see a lot of differing opinions stated in these post but my question is, how many of you participated in an actual war, police action or whatever the hell you want to call it? I served over 20 + years, and yes part of that in vietnam in the army 101st Airborne, 1st Infantry Division, 4 th Infantry Division, and finally in a helicopter assualt squadron. I have an opinion also, and i would have literally gutted any individual who had the inclination to spit on me and wouldn't have thought no more about it than taking a crap in the nearest crapper. A lot of moralistic thoughts being uttered, did we deserve to be treated better than we were, probably, did we deserve to be spat upon? No, Were the hippies and the cowards deserving of respect? Only if they were honest in their admittance of being cowards. Anyone can think of a cause or reason not to answer to call to arms but that doesn't necessarily mean their reasoning is moral, fair, or even right. one of my good friends brothers was going to go to Canada to avoid the draft if his "lottery" number came up but it didn't and now he his differing thoughts on just what he would have really done, one will never know though that is so far in the past. I had told him if you really believe you would be doing the right thing then go, go to Canada if that is how you feel, but then don't come back here when the amnesty for those who left if given. Do what you say you really feel, go live there and enjoy your life there, but don't ever and i mean ever come back here!
Now 40+ years later, i still feel that I answered the call, i knew I was going to be drafted and then went and joined and went to Vietnam on my terms. I don't regret it and would do so again, the VC were animals and the North Vietnamese regulars were even more so at times. They preyed upon innocent civilians and were more than cruel to them, it was for reasons like that, that I felt that call and answered it.

Peace and love in the congregation is a myth and nothing but, love from the bros and sis' is another myth. condiotional love is the only thing that existed and that only very sparsely.

babygirl, i agree with Nathan, why are you letting your children associate with people who will shun their children for a corporations approval? Get your children away from them, they are the apostates, they have left the common sense given them by god and turned it over to a publishing company for crying out loud get your children out of there!!!

What is the one thing you will never give up no matter how hard times get?
by snarf inwith the talk of everyone trying to cut back and reevaluate their necessities due to the rising cost of products from gas to food, what is the one thing that will never go in your life...a "luxury"item that has wound itself so deeply in your soul you would be incomplete without it?.
my item is a daily frapuccino, those little devils are so delish that i can't even think of going a day without.
