HLC Elder questions....
by besty ini am about to post some questions to a local hlc elder that i used to be friends with.
now, of course, we are no longer friends.

Blood question
by civicsi00 ini just had a thought about something... does anyone remember the text where jesus cured someone on the day of the sabbath and the pharisees got mad at him for doing that, on the day that no one is supposed to do anything?
because, if i remember correctly, jesus then corrected them and stated that it was better to help save a life than to obey every letter of the law.
where i'm going with this is, can't this scripture apply to the watchtower when denying someone a blood transfusion?

Confidential Body of Elder Letters from 1981 through 2006
by Elsewhere inhere it is guys.
this is what darth frosty was talking about in his post the other day (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/149460/1.ashx).
this is a collection of confidential letters from the watchtower society that were sent to the bodies of elders in the years 1981 through 2006. these are the letters that you were never meant to see or read.. there's all sorts of information in them ranging from the boring and mundian to instructions about how to handle child molesters.. many thanks to darth frosty and others (who i'm not sure can be named) who worked very hard and took risks to collect and scan the information.

41 Theses on Blood: My "best of" questions/arguments on JW Blood Ban
by Check_Your_Premises inon the earth you should pour it out as water.. from these verses it is clear that there is an old testament prohibition against eating blood.
if not, why do you think it is sacred?
so whenever a person took the life of an animal, they were to drain the blood and not drink it because the blood represents the life and not theirs to take without god's permission.

Dilemma - What can I offer my wife if she leaves the witnesses?
by truthseeker inthis week, my wife called me an "opposing husband" - because i stopped believing that jehovah chose the watchtower society as his sole channel on earth.. .
my wife knows about the society, it's flip-flop on doctrines, child sex abuse scandals, including the un, but none of that matters.. .
she doesn't read the litertaure, not even the bible.. .
