becase my children and myself were invisible to jw family and congregation. because i felt intense sadness every time i entered the hall, due to the invisability and experience.

What is the dumbest reason you where taken to the back room?
by skyman inmine was for giving a sister that i grew up with the watchtower that dealt with birthdays being on the same level as anniversaries.
she quit going because she could not understand the societies position on birthday's.
the elders were mad because i knew how she would react and they thought i did this to cause problems.

at 13 or 14 showing another dub girlfriend a dance step. the elders claimed it to be some fertility dance. huh??????
at 16 for returning a letter to one of the prominent female dub's son who had joined the army and had second thoughts and wanted to know which bros i thought might be willing to write a letter and help him get out of his commitment. i got in trouble for naming one i thought may not help. obviously 'somehow' the word got around and i caught sh#t for it.
at 18 because the jw i was dating left a clay pipe in the back of my car which i was unaware of. turned in by my closest friend. my dad, po at the time, called in mr jaracz and the local co to set me straight. they managed to bring me to my knees and say that marijuana is from satan, when really, i had never given it much thought. talk about verbal abuse and breaking one's spirit!
at 25 to find that my husband had admitted to adultry, but i had sex with him after the fact and therefore negated any right to a recognized divorce.
at 27, although it was in the back of my van with only one elder who came to ask if i would consider going back to meetings and service. i said no. he then proceeded his sad attempt at seducing me. didn't work.
end of contact. -

Was The Ministry Ever Rewarding To You?

did you feel that the ministry was especially rewarding and gratifying to you?

no. and i still have guilt over the one gal i studied with and she joined. it destroyed her once much happier self and life. i moved, lost contact and still feel bad for what i had done. the best part of the door to door work was getting home afterward, taking of those miserable dresses, letting my hair down and knowing my parents were just maybe pleased with me. being the po's daughter, i was required to put on a show. awhhh such happy memories...

my 1st husband (he was jw) used successfully behind my naive little 20yr old jw back. after a few yrs his use was in the open after being df'd for adultery. once i came to the realization he would not accept help and LIKED the way he was, and was using my jw conscience to control me, i left. just my experience. each individual situation is a little different. if i were to find myself in that same situation, i would leave sooner. it would have avoided the permanent and not so permanent damage he did to our children. but the jws no longer have control over my decisions.

Sex for fun all reproduction done in labratory
by frankiespeakin inpicture this the human speices could very well in the not too distant future have all reproduction done inside a very controlled enviroment(labratory) for optimum health of the speices with some special device for weeding out defects headed in a wrong direction and allowing the positive ones to be passed on by some kind of mathematical nonlinier formula that seems to speed up positive changes in the dna.
and as a result all sex relations never results in reproduction or transfference of decease because of this prosess.
now if that were true would you like the casual view of sex, would you indugle is it if it was morally exceptable and no one really worried about who belongs to who, and it was no big deal?

not a bad idea frankie. but where where you in the '70s-'80s? sex (at least on the Ca beaches) was free and easy, nobody belonged to anyone. oh, you could get possessive, but that was not the norm in my experience. in answer to your question, well, it's just not that important, sex that is, it is an enjoyable activity, to be enjoyed for what it is. casual is fine for a non commited individual. that's the dividing line for me though, being commited. yup, stupid people should not procreate, is that what you want to hear? yes, i possess a sarcastic sense of humor. you are asking a 'science fiction' sort of question. ahhh, the control to create a more superior race of humans, why not?

*Sex* & the Evolution vs. Creation debate
by tetrapod.sapien ini was just looking back over some of the evolution vs. creation debates that have taken place here on jwd in the recent past.
and i was struck by something.
sorry if this has been done already.. practically all posts (i could almost safely say "all") in the debates are authored by males.

thanks for the welcome. as for reasons being absent from the debate? maybe because the female input in the jw religion is considered, mute. It's something we, mostly never dwelled on. the female is definitely held to be a 3rd class entity with no purpose other than to serve and reproduce on command. oh, and don't forget, responsible for all hospitality. ugh! not my nature. we are to be present and accounted for, but certainly not noticed as an individual. so, why would most female jws, exjws have any opinion or thoughts on something so debatable as evolution vs. creation? viewpoints on which the elders base their stated opinions on from the accepted governing body viewpoints? and these stated as gods standpoint? also, only if it has been printed in their official magazine, the watchtower? so, i'm saying, it is a personal developmental point of debate for the female jw/exjw to have any opinon at all, about evolution, creation or anything else. peace

Circumcision and the WT
by Sangdigger inwhile discussing the old law and circumcision today with a friend, it hit me that i had never heard the wts say anything about its modern day practice, but only discussed the historical part of it.
but considering how they love to spout out streams of knowledge concerning everything there is to know, i couldnt help but think somewhere in the last century or so, they either condoned it, or condemned it.
(of course based on the current light at the time) .

i had my son circumsied only 8 days past birth, if i remember correctly, due to the being told the k factor or coagulating factor naturally occured then. also due to the current scientific studies of the time leaning towards circumsision as a means to create less of a likely hood of a few female and male diseases. no, i cannot quote what those were at the time as it was most recently 30 yrs ago. but, i must mention, it is also based on health reasons we are told to neuter our animal pets/companions. I have been with 1 uncircumsied male,......oh my.........!

female here. evolution makes sense and is logical. i feel that if there is some 'super duper being' in charge of it all, it only makes sense to have used evolution as a means to perfect it's work. but, neither do i feel it would of made the realization if itself so very confusing, other than for some sic sense of entertainment, such as recorded in the "bible". the two don't mesh. at this point, i am leaning more towards the thought that we are all connected and part of an all encompassing continuum (sp?) where does that continuum (sp?) originate? I persnnally have no idea. it's just the best sense i can make of any of this existence. which, by the way, i have a feeling will never end. my 'feelings' so far in this life have been totally correct, why should they fail me now? yup, looking for a male, logical, response.
So, just how 'left field is that?'
