  when i was 19 i was married, for two years already.

  the elders in our hall went to my husband and told him to monitor what i wear more closely because it was too revealing.

  they told him that a sister in our hall came to the body of elders and complained that before she became a witness she was a lesbian and my revealing clothing made her have immoral thoughts about me and asked the elders to please have me change my wardrobe so her thoughts would stop.

  There was one tiny congregation (of less than 70) in a small town called Ladysmith in South Africa. About 10 years ago there was one HELL of a scandal as THREE, count them, THREE sisters were lesbians and embroiled in a three way love triangle. I had family mention to me that she was quite concerned that her personal dress code might have contributed to their (the three lesbians) decline into sexual filth. How I laughed and laughed at the naivity of it all.

  Well, they finally came to my door

  we've lived here for nearly 2 years now, and this is the first i've seen them, and i'm home most of the time.

  they caught me as i was taking the rubbish out; i didn't even realise they were in my front garden.

  anyway, it was the first warm saturday we've had since last year, and here comes a mother with her young son.

  here's a virtual meeting to show someone what a jw meeting is like without the "love bombing", but all the jehoba this, and jehoba that, prayers, horrible out of tune mono-tone singing?, and a visit from the co giving the dedication talk/prayer... .

  the co point's out that a kingdumb hall is only a kingdumb hall if there is a sign out in front stating so... and that if the kingdumb hall was sold it doesn't come with the sign...

  Is marriage over ?- UK looks at extending similar rights to co-habitees

  my wife and i (ironically) have just sat discussing some of the implications of extending rights normally associated with marriage to co-habiting couples (rights such as division of assets and right to maintenance payments etc..) following hot on the heels of two big wins for very rich divorcees that change uk law (for very high earners) which makes marriage far less financially desirable for a rich person and looking back to such landmark changes such as the abolition of the married persons tax allowance does there seem any point or hope for marriage?

  it also seems a bit unfair to those who decided not to get married (for whatever reason) to suddenly be married in all but name.

  Qcmbr, if it's not bird flu, it's the banks out to get us. If it's not the Mad Cows, it's the tax credit over payments that'll get us.   my brother decides he want to stop al the local kingdum hell and ask for the new craptower mag, he goes in and asks for the new craptower about a dozen x"s i'm standing at the door and he keeps asking for the new craptower " to worship the god jehoover.

We shall have to make a plan and do it together!!!! Most fun innit?!!!!

  i just got this msg from a friend over there.

  shitty hey matt did you hear about the earthquake here?

  saturday morning im alright but lotsa people are pretty much devestated....5000 dead so far i just lost a wall on the property but the house is ok. its pretty sad, been volunteering help seen lotsa dead people kids old people etc at the hospital.
