A.
I'm so glad that you felt comfortable enough to reach out and share with us. I just want to add my thoughts and tell you again, this is perfectly normal--there's nothing wrong with what you're feeling.
My thoughts are somewhat like Teirce's. There is male and female (yin and yang) energies in all of us. We're just miniature blueprints of the universe, where you see the male and female energies. Sometimes these are compartmentalized or one is super dominant, sometimes, they are not. Does that make sense? In any case, Teirce is right, your soul mate is your soulmate. If yours happens to be a woman, and you are a woman, all it means is that you two were both born female in this incarnation. You two may have "played" many different roles in different incarnations.
My belief is that you have many soulmates, but only one twin flame (your "other half"). I have the good fortune to have met and married one of my soulmates. But there have been many of my soulmates who have been women in this incarnation. They are my very best friends in this world. At 18, you have a lot of exploring to do in this area. You are going to meet and get to know many people, the most important, of these people, being yourself--and if you let yourself you will love her (er, you :) more and more everyday.
I am so glad you're here! Keep us posted!
Love and Blessings,
B.

Teirce,
How'd you get so smart? I think there were a lot more smiling people when we embraced our sexuality instead of shaming ourselves and others with it. aaaahhhh, the goddess days....

Well, I for one am glad they did what was only humanly decent, even if they had to be shamed into doing it. And yes, so far as it looks, it appears to be the equivalent of Bill Gates giving 10 dollars to the homeless. Could we shame them into doing a little more? Hey, I don't care who, what or how, just as long as those people suffering in New York get help. Oh well, it's a start. They can't wall themselves off from the world forever--it goes against human nature! There's real caring human beings in the Organization, and I'm determined to drive them out of the closet and admit that they are human beings capable of loving ALL, and showing it (NO, NOT by selling their silly magazines!--by reaching out in real ways to re connect with the human race).
Peace,

Luke 17:2Hey, You Know, just thought I'd let you know , that you've got some time to count!! That's right, another fine witness, delivered by You Know. As I was sitting here a theistic, though religiously undecided coworker came up to chat (I love casual Friday) and asked what I was doing. I explained to her, and was able to show her your fine comments reflecting your absolute gleeful anticipation of a global economic crash in light of Tuesday's tragedy, as well as what you anticipated doing to apostates. Of course, I had to explain to her what an apostate was according the teachings of your religion, which is to the best of my recollection anyone who has been a witness, who is not now, and disagrees publicly with any of their teachings. Now, in all fairness I told her absolutely that INDIVIDUALS in the witness community did not all feel that way. I was able to show her some of the more loving posts from the likes of Nicodemus (I did not EVEN show her any of the unloving quotes off of WOL). However, those posts I did show her told of how Bethel locked down their facilities in response to the tragedy happening in their city. But, I reiterated that NOT ALL INDIVIDUALS FEEL THAT WAY. Oh, but sorry, she asked, and I had to be honest about Jehovah's Witnesses' official teaching that only those in their BAPTIZED ranks would be saved in the Armageddon they are hoping is coming from all of this.
Before I get jumped, just know that . there's a lot of people privy to the messages written here. If you don't like what is done or taught or said by your own people, don't blame me. I've no agenda or anything to lose, I'm not claiming to be god's ONLY spokesperson on earth. I guess I have one little agenda. To make people look at what they write, believe, and spout off as "truth". One thing I learned from the WTBTS, having had it pounded into my head over and over and over again, was that when one sets themselves up as GOD'S ONLY SPOKESPERSON ON EARTH (they applied this CONTINUALLY) to Christendom, you WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR WHAT YOU DO AND SAY. at every turn. You can't weigh Christendom or people not of the Jehovah's Witness faith with a differently weighted scale than you weigh yourself on.
I'm no proponent of the bible, but.....
this just bears repeating:
"It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown
into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble." Luke 17:2 -

LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER
by You Know inperhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.
as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.
since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.
-
Bridgette
MMMMMM...the latests missives from You Know:
"I see among my favorite blustering bozos that no one has taken the wager. Why is that?
It is definitely going to get interesting when and if the markets open; and just think, we
haven't even gotten into my favorite month of October yet. See ya! / You Know""If you thought I was ruthless to apostates before, Just think how absolutely intolerable I
am going to be---soon! All your ridicule and mockery is going to come down on you own
heads and no one is going to enjoy dishing it out more than me. Get ready. / You Know"oh, and to think we've all forfeited our grand opportunity to live forever and ever and ever with an earth full of "loving" people like this (or are you going to be one of the beloved, benevolent leaders from heaven?). hmmmm....hard as I try, no weeping or gnashing teeth here over the LOSS OF THAT! I feel nothing but relief, if THAT is what awaits in this "paradise" of god's. So, yea, I'm ready.
Now, are YOU READY, You Know? How many have seen your "loving" posts and received one of your fine witnesses about your god? This forum is not just full of baddy apostates, You Know, you know? ;) For one, I can tell you my husband has seen your posts. Now, he's not apostate, not particularly religious at all, he was raised w/out religion and has never before now even been exposed to JW's. He has always lent balance to me in my emotional recovery from the JW's. He was OPEN to all beliefs and had not decided on a "religion". But having seen your posts, he has decided that most are truly NUTBAGS--positively gleeful about the end they preach (don't worry, YK, he also was sickened by the lock down of BEthel in the tragedy, too, so you're not alone--you're just espousing what you've been taught, but group responsibility, you knwo, YOU KNOW).
So, You Know, I ask again, in light of Jesus' words at Luke 17:2: "It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble."--ARE YOU READY?
Do you stand clean and holy before your god? Are you authorized to throw the first stone, You Know?
If all your malarke were right, you have FAR more to fear than any of us do. YOU KNOW......ready,

Why Do I Remain one of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Nicodemus innote: i originally started this as a reply to a query on the thread a different jw viewpoint.
alanf had asked me why i stay a jw in view of what i posted there.
as i developed the reply, it started to become clear to me that it was such a deviation from my original post that it deserved a separate thread.

Nicodemus (he was one of my favorite bible characters--not ready to give up the Jewish faith, but open minded enough to at least listen to what Jesus had to say with respect....hmmmmmm)
So, I hope you saw my post on the previous thread. I'll recap at the risk of being redundant. I am glad you post here. I am glad you're a voice of reason out of the sea of madness most of us exited from. This is a great place to cultivate understanding of one another. I think it's beautiful.
When I hear from people like you, I see hope. Wish I'd known more like you (I knew a few--2 that I can think of off hand, well, and then there was myself...) when I was "in" (NOT that I would've stayed).
Once again, I am glad you're here, Nicodemus.
Peace,

A Different JW Viewpoint
by Nicodemus ini have seen reference here to some of the posts on witnessesonline.com (wol) in response to the horrific events of yesterday, september 11, 2001.. please allow me to express a few different thoughts.. first of all, what happened yesterday was, just as president bush described it, despicable.
in making this attack, the attackers showed complete and utter disregard for human life.
those who commandeered the plane, knowing their ultimate goal, had no consideration for their own lives.

"think I understand where you
were coming from." ~~Nicodemus
Aaahhh, understanding, now THAT, is what makes being here, posting here, and discussing all different viewpoints worthwhile. We're on a path of NOT embracing everything about others, but at least understanding where they come from--and THAT is a truly beautiful thing. imo :)
Thanks for helping me to understand your POV.

What I heard the JW's say in light of this tragedy
by Bridgette inokay, i know (or want to believe) that not all jehovah's witnesses are this calloused.
at least i hope not.
there are some good, caring people, but here are some stark contrasts i've observed today that remind me of how glad i am that i'm not part of such an overall unloving group of people.

Dear Whiz,
Well, I do wish you'd really read my original post w/ the intention with which it was written. I do not believe I am back peddling, but I can see you are convinced and will not be dissuaded no matter what. I will go and read my post again, but while it was written in sadness, it was not written with evil intent. Did you read in my last post WHY I denoted peoples' faiths? Simply rhetorical, no need to respond textually whatsoever. Now, again, rhetorically, have you read anything from me that has suggested that I wish to harm Jehovah's Witness or Muslim children? No. Nor will you. Please do not make these sweeping assumptions.
"But since I'm not part of the popular clique, or group of "respected" elite
with cloat around here, I suppose I'll be criticised by many more so than those who wish
for more blood."
Let's hope not. In any case---glad you're still posting. Glad you're disagreeing with me. Glad you're upset with me and able to say so. This serves and pleases me far better than any evil intention you attempt to assign to me. Now, while I love a good "discussion", I will not argue fruitlessly. I have always enjoyed your posts and will continue to do so (I, like I saw in one of your posts, aspired to be a Physician myself when I "grew up", even started college and was told by my physiology professor that I had what it took; he would write me any recommendation I needed--- and alas my dreams went much the same path that yours probalby did; maybe even worse--I'm just a gurl.
So, peace, Whiz...it's all good....

"attempts have been made in print recently to start the process of
reversing that mentality. They are but a start, and I dare say the message still gets
muddy and conflicted at times, but it is a start, and I applaud it, as does virtually every
thinking JW with whom I am in contact."
Your words and show of what appears to be genuine concern assure me even further that my original thread on what I heard JW's say is accomplishing its mission. My original thread was not presented as a scientific hypothesis, it was observations. It was made out of the human emotion of sadness and the desire to illicit a human response from JW (which, again, I can't reiterate enough--it did! adn I'm truly happy--I NOW KNOW dogma will not rule the day--you can't squash the human spirit of love. :) Anyway, the minute I showed emotion AND an admitted agenda, I threw out scientific method. I just wrote down a few honest quotes. Sorry it has disturbed so many, but I'm not sorry it's made them admit they are human and they care and love all humans no matter what religion they are. No, not sorry at all. Quite pleased actually. AND I am thrilled beyond belief that we are all here, and can express openly. When I was a witness, I could have never told people (esp. bros, [as a LOWLY sister], that they were displaying an unloving attitude)--so I love you all, glad you're here posting, offering opinions, calling me out, being.....*gasp* HUMAN!!! YEA!!! I feel connected to the witness community again, without the dogma!
Love and Peace....

Cuna! Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!! Thanks for writing
Whiz,
All I can do is implore you to read my previous posts and hopefully you will understand the spirit in which I wrote. In any case, I am interested in people as individuals, sans religious dogma (if you've ever read any of my other posts on other threads, you'd soon ascertain that I'm a fan of no organized religion, just the individuals in all of them) I only denoted faiths in my original post, because I wanted to address current JW's and get them to connect with their humanity, and I know that religious identification is the first and foremost way that Jehovah's Witnesses (in general) identify themselves and others. I think my original post accomplished its intended mission beautifully. I've heard more than one INDIVIDUAL say---"uh, hold the phones---wrong! I CARE!!!" So......peace ?
And to all, I'm just thrilled to be part of this board! Unlike when we were witnesses where all subject matter had to stay on surface level at all times, we can argue, we can express emotion, we can disagree, you can call me on my bs, i can call you on yours, or hers, or his---it's a great feeling, I gotta tell you. And I truly love you all!!
Peace,
Bridgette
