  WHY Doesn't The WTS Observe The Resurrection?

  i never got a real answer about this when i was a jw.

  the only explanation that i ever got was that jesus said to "do this in remembrance of me" meaning the taking in of the wine and unleavened bread.

  he never said "not" to observe his birth or his resurrection.

  I was told it was because Jesus did not command his followers to observe it...

  but then I asked

  "Where did Jesus command his followers to have 5 hours of meetings a week?

  if you still go to the meetings - look at the notice board where they have the accounts report.. is there a deficit?.

  our cong wanted to build a new hall (they share), but they cannot raise the funds to do this.

  Only a little over a thousand each month (back when I was in). But they also had a $1,000,000 building fund for the new kindom hall (to be shared w/ about 2-3 others). They never were able to buy a new place so they just renovated the old ones.

  Funny thing, in my Latin class we use Y'all all the time because it clearly marks the second person plural. I usually say "You all" as in "What are you guys (or you all) doing?"

  Any Smallville fans out there?

  i'm a big fan of smallville but i feel the series needs a kick of adrenaline.

  some of the episodes are more like a teen drama mixed with an dash of scooby doo.

  all the sexual tension between clark, lana, lex, chloe does keep me glued to the series though.

  Well they've made so many predictions, I think that there might at least be one (statistically speaking). Although the King of the North (USSR) and the King of the South (USA) never went to war (I forget which book that was in).
