Book of Isaiah or Psalms say GOD created evil. If he created it then it had to manifest itself some how. Whether we accept it or not whether we full understand it or not whether we have the JW view evil is suppose to be here. Maybe that's why for some people it comes natural.

God & JW can't exist without "evil"
by thedepressedsoul ini was thinking the other day that so far jw's and god have always needed or relied on "evil" to get items done or taken care of.
almost every bible prophecy and jw teaching would not exist without "evil".. let's take the prophecy of jesus for example, it would not have been fulfilled without evil.
when you think about it, he was a needed evil in order for prophecy to be fulfilled.

Who REALLY believed in the idea of living forever on earth??
by stuckinarut2 inseriously.....even when you were 100% in "the truth", did you really believe in living forever?
?

It's the " live forever puzzle" that makes it real. Ps 37:29 clinched it for me along with the live forever book! Plus John 3:16. Plus Jesus telling the evil doer you will be with me in paradise. So it's not so much the Society saying it- it's the bible proof text round- up that roped me in.
i never took the time to research Ps 37:29 to really get the "truth" behind its meaning and what the Hebrew words mean with the context.

Genesis 3:15 in the special talk...
by freemindfade inso as they were reading this today, i read also v. 14-16. now 15 is the basis for the whole theme of the bible essentially for witnesses, i am not sure but other religions must believe the same.. snake=satan.
woman=gods organization.
if i got that somewhat correct.

You are right on! I wondered how I the world you stretch that to fit happy family!
our speaker said God had a purpose yet he had to change up his plan with the sin of Adam and eve and satan - " that snake" do plan to get rid of satan so ultimately families will be blessed.
GB stretching scriptures - makes me sick!

New thoughts on Charity commissioners case
by jimtheman699 indespite all the comments on the charity commission case - its not too bad for the wtbts.. .
the judge found in their favour on a number of key issues - the dates on the papers, the signatures were correct, it was nice paper and they used expensive qc's.
it is, however worth noting that the judge was not exactly supportive and found the cc were within their rights to investigate because:-.

If they issue an official report and make it public there maybe some shaking in the ranks. If they do a press conference of the findings then you're talking confidence rocking!
Avg. JW only will brush this off especially how the GB can do instant damage control on their JW broadcast.

'great crowd' are in the temple (naos) but not in the new covenant???
by fukitol inin one of the biggest about-faces in watchtower history, in a 2002 question from readers it was admitted that the great crowd is indeed in the temple itself (naos) in revelation 7. .
but notice the statement bolded below from that article comparing the great crowd to the proselytes in ancient israel.
the statement is made that the proselytes "submitted to the law covenant.

Data Dog is on to something! Reading CoC by Ray Franz you get that vibe of superiority from the GB and now that new light has made them FDS the air of power is all they wake up knowing they have to breathe! -

A flaw in JW logic on sin and transmision
by _Morpheus inthe "special talk" this year was about family happiness.
as always seems to be the case it was a bait and switch job since the talk had actually nothing to do with how to achive family happiness and everything to do with jw doctrine on why familys are unhappy.
mine is unhappy because of jw doctrine but thats the implied irony in attending the sunday indoctrination i suppose.. that said, the speaker trotted out the oft used jw illistration of a dented bread pan to describe why and how sin was passed from one human (adam) to another (all of us).

Adams body was perfect. Perfect thinking would not have resulted in any flaws namely sining. Having the ability to choose doesn't make you imperfect since YHWH created good and evil. Adam learn the results of choices you make and having a woman in your life to influence them do not always help. Sorry that's reality.
Until we cut thru the thousands of years of corrupt Christianity that has us stuck it will be difficult to fine the TRUTH.

PSALMS 83: 18 What is the name of God ?
by william draper inso many of us have been taught that the name of god is jehovah , if like me many have come to really appreciate god's name .. .
more accurately we , at least many or most love the name of jehovah , or more accurately should i say this pronunciation .
does god care what we call him , of course he does , he had his name written in the bible as yhwh ( best i can do on this computer ) , more than 6000 times .

We all know when they make over-haul decisions, they have to hit you over the head with a bible proof text verse to make sure YOU know it is directed by Jehovah because as long as the words are in the "good book" it's theocratic order.
They said person or congregation- they didn't say "organization"!
This only justifies why the congregations property deeds should not be in the local elders names.
Because they say so!

What you all are saying is correct but if the GB says the bible was written for the anointed- then when Jesus says "All" of course he is talking to the anointed!
you are not going to convince anyone who believes that crap!
