So many of us have been taught that the name of God is Jehovah , if like me many have come to really appreciate God's name .. . or have we . More accurately we , at least many or most love the name of Jehovah , or more accurately should I say this pronunciation .

Does God care what we call him , of course he does , He had his name written in the Bible as YHWH ( best I can do on this computer ) , more than 6000 times . Now one would think Jehovah Witnesses would be ones that truly love the name of God , they go about everywhere saying DO YOU KNOW THE NAME OF GOD ? here let me show you here in Psalms 83: 18

Dear friends , the name of God is NOT Jehovah 😧 , It is widely known that the more correct pronunciation begins as such . . . Yah .. . most common understanding is Yahweh , but the pronunciation could be more like Yahuah , I believe it is true that there was not a . . .J . . pronunciation in the ancient Hebrew language .

How nice it would be to actually know and use the correct pronunciation of God's name , but we will never come close to such if we keep making lame excuses like nobody really knows what it is , this could actually be a lie perpetuated foremost by the JW RELIGION . In my studies , I read that an ancient Samaritan sect never stopped using but he name of God , more research is needed on this . We do know , as least every scholar that there is agrees that the pronunciation of gods name begins with . . . Yah . . . We should understand and appreciate this , from the phrase Hallelu-jah , jah here is pronounced as Yah .

Let's say your name is John what if some people called you Hohn , how would you react , you would correct the person right . .. Actually my name is John , then you see the person another day and he would again call you Hohn , YOU WOULDN'T APPRECIATE IT WOULD YOU . . .The excuses the *ORG* uses to keep perpetuating the name of God as Jehovah and actually nobody knows , so we just use Jehovah , is deceitful , it actually perpetuates the abuse of God's name . And there is that confusing thing about the Transliteration of Gods name , another deceitful tactic . THE WATCHTOWER DEMANDS ABSOLUTE UNITY , AND SAYS THEY ARE GIVING US TRUTHS AS GOD SEES FIT TO REVEAL , now why is God revealing the truth about his name to everybody butJehovah Witnesses which keep teaching some kind of confusion about it , OH THE NAME HAS TO BE TRANSLITERATED . . . . THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE . PROPER NÀMES ARE NOT ALWAYS CHANGED for instance the name of our President . . OBAMA . . this is pronounced as OBAMA throughout the whole earth , the name of a Country , like China , it is pronounced as China throughout the entire earth .

Doesn't it seem logical that we should use the best understanding that we can attain , when calling upon the name of our God , shouldn't we teach others according to the best understanding that there is , that we are aware of . YES OF COURSE . THIS THOUGH IS NOT WHAT JEHOVAH WITNESSES DO , THEY TEACH A CONFUSION ABOUT GODS NAME .

Honestly, who really cares how a fictional sky fairy's name is pronounced?

"Jehovah" is a fabrication of monk... the end.

YHWH was what the Hebrew called their version of Aten.

It's all only important to witnesses and they have it completely wrong

Part of the 19th century religious nonsense was the WTBTS using the name Jehovah.

Unfortunately they tripled down on the name Jehovah and eventually used it as their chosen religious name thereby, in one fell swoop, consigning themselves to the religious trash heap.

We understand at this point in time that Jehovah was made up and first saw print in the writings of a Catholic Monk in the 16th century.

Jehovah as a name is a colossal failure......... actually an embarrassment. It sounds and looks odd, in general the public does not accept it as anything meaningful. It's awkward when it has to be explained as Jehovah GOD.

What the Jews called him or didn't is also meaningless. If the God of the Old testament wants her or his name proclaimed he she or it should have made sure it was written down and pronounced properly.

Christian Witnesses would have made for a more successful religion and carry a much better message.

Why would the Supreme Being need a personal name ? There can only be one Supreme Being, or Almighty God.

    No name needed.

Lesser gods and lesser beings yes.

If the exact name were so important, Jesus would have used it in his model prayer. Instead, he said 'when you pray, pray this way. Our father...'

You think any witness would ever pray without mentioning the name Jehovah (over and over and over?) well Jesus didn't mention it once! Ever. Seriously. Like phizzy said, he's just God. Yahweh was important to the Hebrews, he was their chosen people. But since Jesus came, he is everyone's God.

Although there appears to be still lacking evidence , very oddly there are incitations of God's name having been written in the New Testament , besides Jws , others speak of MATTHEW as possibly have been originally in Hebrew , but no real evidence of this found as of yet .

We know that when the NT writings were being written , God's name was no longer in use by those of the Orthodox , and it was much discouraged ; were there possible reasons why do not find the name of God in the NT besides the idea , that it wasn't of any importance , possibly there were severe consequences if found in those letters which had wide circulation . It is said in John ch 17, though that Yeshua / Jesus made God's name known , there is no reason to read into this , anything but that which it says .. that Yeshua reminded the people of God's name YHWH , quite possibly this is one more thing that created friction between Yeshua , and some of the religious leaders .

So.... Jeehoobie couldn't have one scripture recording Jesus actually saying God's "name".....right.......

"Jehovah" is a big deal to the JW cult/WTBTS, and absolutely nobody else on Earth. The name "Jehovah" is used to "prove" that ONLY JW's have "Da Troof!!!" LOL!!!

You may want to add this information to your collection.

In the original Hebrew the word used is Elohim, which means Gods, then it was later changed to baal or lord. There is very few scriptures that actually give a name El, El Shaddai, Elyon were some of these names used but were more of a description then an exact name. Research the god El of Ugarit and you'll uncover some amazing information about the god you worship.
