although not going into detail exactly how he proposes to shake the nations up, it goes without saying that the world stands posed to experience a catastrophe beyond human comprehension.. it has now been six months since the so-called 9-11 disaster.

Probably someone has brought this up before but if so I missed it.

Isn't it interesting that You Know, Fred, Yadirf and others prefer the company of the 4600+ registered posters here than they do their brothers and sisters in the Watchtower Society?

They have to be spending more time here with us than they do associating with their brothers. Seems very interesting to me. There is a quotation something like "me thinks thou doest protest too much" (sorry if I butchered it) I think that may apply to the ones mentioned above.

i admire what you are trying to do in behalf of all those that have been sexually abused, but i believe you are going about it in the wrong way.. you have taken up a fight against jehovah himself and this is futile.

the organization has some flaws, as is expected of any imperfect organization.

YoYo, I think your statement, below, is wrong:

I do not have a bible with me right now, but, the scriptures have several things to say that would apply to child molesters.

One I am thinking of, says something like, If you stumble one of these little ones, it would be better to have a millstone tied around your neck and be thrown into the sea. Sounds pretty strong to me.

the reality is a very different picture than the one they like to portray.

I am sorry I must hurry to get ready for work so I cannot give this the time I would like right now, but I have to say just a couple of things before leaving.

You say:

I want to state from the start that I claim nothing for myself and certainly am unqualified for many things, but for your sake, I would remind you of the words of Jesus. The scribes and Pharisees said that He did His works by the power of Satan. Jesus warned them about the danger of sinning against the Holy Spirit.

I am a believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus, the Christ. I do my best to promote His interests. There are many scriptures to show that Jesus is God, that is where you and I differ greatly. I know those scriptures have been quoted here many times and it seems needless for me to look up a list of those scriptures. Why does all of this not seem to make you question the teachings of the WT?

Have you ever looked up the scripture and the footnote at 1Thess. 4:16 where by the WTs own bible they show that Jesus is Jehovah?

I agree that the way things are shaping up, that the future does not look good. I can see where this could easily develope into a, "great tribulation" like, situation.

What I do not understand about your position, is how and why, you can trust the Watchtower Society.

The Watchtower Society was built on a foundation of sand, you know the parable. Russell built the foundations on the great pyramid, the shape of a mans head, miracle wheat, and way too many stupid teachings to list here.

Rutherford continued the building with his nonsence, boozing, two 12 cylinder Cadillacs, Beth Sarim, 1925, etc, etc.

Not only has the Watchtower Society been built on a foundation of sand but has continued to be constructed using inferior building materials. By now you should know that. How many false prophecies, lies, corruption, and false teachings does it take before you finally look to God instead of an organization?

It took me way too long, my prayer for you, is that you don't take so long. You are exposed daily to evidence on this forum, evidence you cannot deny that the Watchtower Society is a lie and has always been. Leave!

Fighting in Afghanistan/Warthog

with all i've been reading in the newspaper, i have yet to hear one mention of the a-10 warthog.

this plane is extremely manuverable, highly survivable with tripple redundant systems all thru the plane, and packs a major punch with its nose cannon which the plane was built around.

it would seem perfect for the small arms fighting going on right now.

I wish you luck Yoyo but not with being reinstated. I do read my bible every day, that is one of the main reasons why I left the WT. Try reading the whole bible, not just the assigned chosen few scriptures the WT tells you to read.

What I really wish for you, is that you prepare a letter of disassociation, then when, or if, they reinstate you, give them your letter. Tell them you have found out that they do not represent the true God, then seek that relationship with God that you desire.

Whatever you do, I wish you great happiness.

hi everyone im new in here i was just curios does anyone here after leaving the j.w.

organization celebrate any holidays without a problem?

or attend birthday parties and stuff like that without it bothering you?i know i dont have a problem with it.i dont celebrate any major holidays but thats because after so many years not doing it i would feel weird doing it now but i dont have a problem being invited to a gathering that has to do with any of the above.

Hi Lalis,

The first year after I left the WT I was invited to a Christmas party. I didn't have a problem with it because I was convinced by then that everything I had been taught by the WT were lies. I started sending Christmas cards and birthday cards etc.

I enjoyed the holidays very much but never chose to put up a Christmas tree, until this past Christmas. My son left the WT about a year ago and he asked if we could put up a tree, so we did. We had a really wonderful Christmas. As time goes by I think you will enjoy the holidays more and more. Especially the Christmas music.
