  Physically Abused by JW

  i have just read a post by think, saying he was physcially abused by jw many times, .

  i am sorry if this has ever happened.. is it true or was think just exaggerating since i have read many put down posts from think about jw.. is think trying to extract revenge to them?

  or just one bitter person who has been thru many terrible times with in the jw organisation?

  1. I was physically and emotionally abused by my mother. 

  2. My mother was told to stay with my father who abused all of us. 

  3. I have two friends that were encouraged to stay with extremely abusive husbands - one was even almost killed by her husband. 

  4. I have 3 friends that were molested by JW elders and a niece that was molested by a JW in good standing.

  5. My husband knew a woman that used to beat the living crap out of her adopted kids in the back room at the kingdom hall. He said the entire congregation could hear the beating taking place but no one would do anything about it.

  6. I recently found out that a longtime family friend of ours has beat his wife on several occasions - one time even throwing her against the wall and choking her. He's a JW in good standing.

  7. My brother's friend tried to choke his wife. She had sense enough to leave him and got DFed for it.

  That's all the ones I know about personally. I suspect many more but I don't have proof.

  What 'Brokeback Mountain' and JWs have in common

  the story is beyond excellent.

  every line is so well crafted and the story, published in the new yorker magazine in 1997, is much more than two young men falling in love.

  one of the major themes of the movie is fear.

  Welcome to the board Peter!

  Thanks for pointing out all the parallels between the movie and the JWs. I never though about that before. I might have to go and check it out now.

  What disgusted me most about the movie was the deceit. ;

  They chose to deceive the women who loved them...just as the JW's

  are taught to deceive those they love. ;

  I think the Watchtower does more deceiving then any of us could ever do. But I agree, the deceitfulness in the movie is more offensive than anything else.

  This just strengthens my resolve to fight the Watchtower in any way I can.

  Sad news from Maui

  we went to our favorite beach, met up with some of our local friends.

  we don't have much in the way of details - but heard some devasting news that ari (well known to seattle area exjw's and i am sure by many on the board) killed himself sometime over last weekend.

  he was so excited about moving to maui, and starting a new life here.

  This is so sad. I am so sorry for those of you who lost your dear friend.

  just wanted to add that in several conversations with Ary he expressed much pain because his daughters would not speak to him. One daughter was newly married and he told me with anguish on his face "I don't even know her new last name." He also shared that he wanted to visit his mother in Europe and her response was "if you are not a Jehovah's Witness don't bother".

  How evil. They should be ashamed of themselves. Maybe someone should write the local newspaper and tell them the story.

  I hate that stupid, $%&@(#%, evil religion!

  I heard the same thing from 3 other people so I don't think I'll be wasting my money on it.

  I just wonder....question to the ones that have thrown in the "im-screwing-your-wife"-thing.....WHY is lefty the only affected one? WHY is everybody humping HIS wife? Is brother righty (righteous) wife OK?

  Brother Lefty always has his nose buried in the Bible so his wife doesn't get enough attention. He also looks like the type that trusts everyone so he would never suspect that someone is banging his wife. Brother Right looks like a domineering control freak. He probably monitors his wife's every move. She would never have the chance to screw anyone else.

  Watchtower Society Losing the Information War. What Will Sink the Last Nail

  with the proliferation of blogs and forums like this one, ex-jws writing books and protesting, lawsuits, exposure of abuse, pedophilia, and mind control, what more needs to be done to sink this cult and kill it?

  do the ex-jehovah's witness have enough momentum to destroy any remaining credibility the watchtower society has, or perhaps, bankrupt it?

  The problem is that you have so many Witnesses that close their eyes to the world around them. They don't go on the internet or read the newspaper. Today's article about the Bay point sex predator being released quoted two friends of the offender as saying, " they don't read newspapers much". These morons have a young child yet they are unwilling to do research to see if a friend of theirs is a potential danger to their child! If they care so little about their child do you really think that they would care about the history of their religion?

  You could haul the Governing Body out in handcuffs and there would still be people out there that would want to remain devout Jehovah's Witnesses.

  the state of california is conducting an experiment by releasing some sexual predators, who have undergone treatment at a state hospital into some communities.

  one such example is cary verse, who is now in bay point.

  convicted of sexual assault of three boys and a man and treated in atascadero state hospital, he left treatment in feb. 2004 and is now on conditional release.

  Verse's closest friends and congregation members, Marlin Town, 21, and his wife April, 19, bring their 1-year-old daughter, Kalie, with them whenever they spend time with Verse. Both said it never concerned them at all.

  These idiots have no business having a child. I wish we could shoot stupid people.

  In some cultures people clean their nostrils by blocking one and blasting toward the street. ... Don’t look down on others because their way of looking at things is different.

  I don't care what your culture is, that's just plain nasty. If JWs really want to help people in 3rd world nations, they should ditch the Watchtower and teach these people about germs and sanitation.
