Poipoi, I was talking about past experiences with JW girls. I now have a wife who I love very much. I was simply saying that I found "worldly" girls treated me much better than JW girls. I also didn't like alot of the JW dating rules, as some of the other people mentioned. If you look at the overall success rate of JW marriages, at least in the area I'm from, they are terrible. The society puts too much pressure on them to get married right away instead of getting to know eachother first. But I hope you find a nice guy.

What kind of atheist are you?

i'm not so sure about the jewish-christian borderline, but i love the nuance.. so which sentence suits you better?.

"i don't believe that god exists.".

"I'm not a slave to a God that doesn't exist" to quote Marilyn Manson. Even if God does exist, I don't believe in his way of doing things. So he's dead to me one way or another.

growing up in the jw religion and having a dad who was an elder, i remember how controlling they were.

i find it amazing now just how much of my childhood i missed out on.

i couldn't watch alot of t.v.

I have forgiven my parents. They did the best they could to raise me, and I am apreciative for that. I just hate the JW religion more than anything for ruining childrens' lives with it's stupid rules.

can any one tell me what the 'significant differences' are between the old green bible and new black bible?.

having been a jw for almost forty years i never knew of a difference except that my mum is the only jw i know who still uses one.

is it possible that i could show her anything 'interesting'?

Yeah, the green one had some bitchin pictures in the cover. When I was a kid I had an overactive imagination, and I could waste half the meeting looking at those pictures.

I think I still might have a complex. So I'm gonna tell my story so you can all laugh at me. Did any of you other guys always go to the district convention hoping you would find that dream JW girl you had always been looking for? Sounds like a great idea right? But there was a problem. Witness girls in the area I'm from were just plain mean to me. I would always try to be the nice guy, but that never seemed to get me anywhere. Most of the girls basicly ignored me, and the ones who didn't would always just string me along until they spent all of my money. Now I'm not trying to say any of you ladies out there are like that. But my general experience with girls led me to believe the JW girl was evil. The funny thing was all the years I was the good little JW, the girls totally ignored me. Now eventually I met my wife who was not a JW girl when I met her. Then the other girls from my area acted like they were all hurt and stuff because I hadn't choose one of them even though they ignored me the whole time before. So I want to ask the guys out there: Did you have an easier time with JW girls or "worldly" girls? And to all you ladies I ask: Are JW girls different than "worldly" girls? Now remember I'm not being mean spirited when I ask, but I'm just curious. Also do you guys have any funny JW dating stories?

Ex-JW Newsletter?...

i got an e-mail asking me if i wanted to get it so i said what the hell and got it.

it's not too bad, i was expecting the usual "pity me" stuff, but in truth the stories were interesting as they were just the normal "i left because i wanted to" stories and not the absolute horror stories out there.

just a curiosity question.
