  The continuing saga of being in love with a Witness

  i don't know how many read my prior post "problems with jw girlfriend and her family", but i feel the need to continue the story as it is very current and is taking quite a toll on both of us.

  she and i also work together at a grocery store, so even if she does/did decide to break things off (because of her parents and the religion) we would still see each other (i'll get to this in a minute).

  we both know that we still love each other and that we deserve to be together, but can this religion be stronger than true love?????

  I feel your pain. I'm so sorry that you are having to go through all of this. I once was in a similar situation, except I was the JW who loved the non JW girl. We worked together also. My advice is this, tell her you love her, but you don't love her religion. Trust me when I tell you that nothing is worth the hell you will go through if you try and do this for her. It doesn't work out, unless you are willing to not go out with her, then dedicate your life to the religion, then you can finally go out together again after you become baptized. It's not a fun thing to go through. And this religion is a cult. If you both love eachother enough though somehow it will find a way to work out. Just don't let her slip away.   so i am watching american idol(yes i have no life) and one of the winners came out screaming and holding what looked like a nw translation - black cover.

  can anybody with a tivo confirm?

  it was like just before the horrible guy in the purple shirt came on.

  the wings, undercarriage and engines are british.

  the uk sections are made locally and should create over 100,000 jobs.

  Tuesdays and Thursdays

  for the longest time i used to hate tuesdays and thursdays.

  those were the nights of the bookstudy and the theocratic ministry/service meeting.

  every time when i was at school or work on these days, it seemed i was never in a good mood.

  i found my first talk i gave.

  i was so corny and nervous and get graded for your efforts and the rehearsing for sisters with other sisters.

  I once had to do a talk about the whole " marry only in the lord" topic. Funny thing was no one knew I had a "worldly" girlfriend. Talk about feeling stupid when your'e up there. I was good enough though, that I lied straight faced the whole time. I remember people telling me what a good talk it was after the meeting. I was like yeah if only you had any idea.

  Deadly toys

  whatever happened to to good-ol-days when you had to pay attention to where you threw your lawn darts so that you wouldn't kill anyone?.

  when i was in first grade my family had a set of lawn darts... not the plastic kind... the kind with the heavy steel spike prodruding from the tip.

  i loved to go outside and play with them.

  KayKay, I had this guy that always picked on me. Speaking of farting, he was wrestling with another guy who had him pinned. His face was sticking out, and BOOM I walked over sat and his face and let a deadly one go. I later got my ass kicked, but it was soo worth it.

  Can someone take me through what it means to start/do a "study"?

  when i attended with my husband, (i am not jw, he is over 20 yrs.

  ) i was asked many times who i was studying with, are you studying, etc.

  i didn't know what they meant, husband never pressures me with this kind of questioning.

  They always have hidden agendas. The study would have gone differently depending on who conducted it. I don't know what book they're using now, because it's been awhile since I've gone. The one thing I can tell you is usually they look for you to be attending all meetings and stuff like that in about 6 to 9 months. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from them. I'd be a little creeped out if they kept calling me too. Is it males or females calling you?

  I was actually really good at it. I found that I am very comftorable up on stage. However giving talks about JW topics is stupid. I always used to hate when they'd assign you totaly gay topics, and expect you to be enthused about it. I mean c'mon what 15 year old kid wants to talk about adultry or masturbation or something along those lines.
