bow before me all opposers and apostates.
you are all deceivers, trying to pull people away from the truth.
but you will not succeed because 4thwitness is now here to expose all of you for the devils children you all are.

i posted a thread earlier this week about a conversation i had with my jw ex-wife.
the next day i sent her this e-mail.
one should never be afraid of ideas.
And if He wanted His name pronounced, don't you think He would have made it a little easier to discover the correct vowels in the correct order?
Bigger News Flash. (see above). I guess God is not powerful enough to override the superstitions of man so as His faithful followers could correctly pronounce His name. Afterall He is powerful enough to choose a large publishing company that dictates 4-door cars and avoidance or demonic Smurfs. I guess that's just part of His mystery, having the Catholics put His word together and allowing them to choose the correct vowels.

Hello Brother 4th Witness,
Would you be so kind as to study with me?

They use jehovah's name (brave considering they are fighting 1800 years of indoctriniation to try and pretend it doesn't exist)
What makes you think His name is Jehovah? It was first coined by a Catholic monk. The WTBS has even published the fact that Yahaweh or something else is probably closer to the original pronounciation. Placing vowels in any order could be correct. So the possibility exists that instead of calling Him by a very respectful title like God or Lord we could be bastardizing His name and calling Him something that He may not even like. And if He wanted His name pronounced, don't you think He would have made it a little easier to discover the correct vowels in the correct order? No, the WTBS uses "Jehovah" because it sets them apart...like all good cults they have to prove they are inspired of God. They fail miserably on the whole God's name thing.

going to an international assembly 1974 and one of the gb leo greenlees saying"this will most likely be the last international assembly this side of armageddon".. poeple selling their houses.. storing up food.. wondering what went wrong on dec 31 1975!.
Lemme see...
In 1975 I was a back-sliding, in-active 20ish guy who had just escaped the Dub-family restraints. I was a rock and roll disc jockey at a small AM station in Redding, CA. My Dad sent me a multi-page letter outlining all the stuff that was supposed to happen according to scripture and the WTBS. I never did read it but allowed my curious girlfriend to read it. She told me the basics and said it sounded like he loved me and wanted me to get back into the fold. Ha ha...I was having way too much fun.
However, when we started incorporating Disco records into our hard-core rock and roll playlist...I knew something was up and maybe the End was near. The rest is a blurr because I stayed self-medicated until January 1, 1976.
I do remember being told about some super-spiritual types like pioneers that went out and bought very expensive, cars (4-door) because they knew in their hearts that they'd never have to pay them off...woo hoo, did Big J ever fake them out!

i am a catholic who was recently visited by a jehovah's witness who had some things to say which i had never known about.
this got me to thinking, and so i am now curious about the full teachings of the wts in this regard.
basically i was informed that witnesses cannot vote nor serve in the military, or even fly a flag.
Hi Patrick,
They are rather hypocritical inasmuch as they certainly enjoy the freedoms provided by the government that they are trained to hate and will not lift a finger to protect a neighbor from a foreign enemy. They are told to Take from the government social services when they are hungry but they are not allowed to volunteer to work for those same services or charities that help them in their time of need. As an organization they do nothing in the way of helping anyone except their corporate publishing empire. They do not have any system set up to provide for their own people who they treat like beaten sheep.
Back to the point, some geographical areas are more lenient towards gun ownership for "hunting" purposes. Guns for protection are strongly discouraged but I don't think they have ever banned it. No right minded JW would ever 'fess up to owning a gun for "protection", but I've known several.

PS. They like to say..."if the world were nothing but JWs then there would be no more wars." I like to follow up with..."yeah and we'd all be saying Heil Hitler!"
i remember first hearing it after the generation change of 95.. a sister answered up at the wt and said "even if armageddon isn't coming, its still the best way to live.".
i have heard others say: "even if it isn't true, it's still the best way of life.".
my mother said it a few weeks ago!
Let's remember all those other poor saps who are trying their best...but unfortunately they hitched
their horse to the wrong wagon/religion...so no matter how hard they try, they all gonna get murdered! Maybe the next WTBS
slogan can be..."Right or Wrong We are Still God's Organization" ...makes perfect sense.

i've disassociated myself since february.
i made no secret of my disapproval of the wtbts and was very vocal to my doubts of it being god's true organization on earth to the po.
now, the po and another elder has scheduled to talk with my wife tonight for a sheparding call at the home of the book study.
Sacolton..
Sorry about that. That's how I lost my wife..."endangering her spirituality"...whatta crock! I allowed her and the kids to attend and never fought with her about it. I even still attended once in awhile. She was baptized and although I was born into it I wasn't dunked. What's funny is I made really great money back then and she always wrote the checks for the box...so I am sure the elders that gave her that great advice thought the money would continue after I was gone. It didn't. She became a struggling realtor in a crapped-out market. Too bad. If they do convince her to dump you, fight tooth and nail for everything, especially the kids. I lost my daughter but got my son out. Good Luck. And by the way if they are "shepherding" her in your home you have a right to be there...although I would just hide a tape recorder so you can always be one up. They are extremely sneaky so you have to beat them at their own game.

...i've heard that a lot over the years.
"just get over it, let the past stay in the past".
i always say, "ya, but...".
You can never have a "normal" relationship with a family member who is controlled by a Cult. So, No you can never "move on" as long as they hold family members hostage! Those who are not in that situation may be able to "move on" depending on other variables such as length of involvement, etc.
