Flower,
You Rock! Thank you for the great read and a wonderful description of SuperMomhood!
Edited to say HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!!
i had a revelation today...and i thought i'd share.
it hit me all of the sudden this morning as i was leaving my house around 615a.
you see, i'm walking out to my truck to get to a 7am doctors appt.

i was really touched by those who responded to my story.
since posting it however, i have not felt like the strong person those who replied made me out to be.. between posting my story, wanting to post my story at silentlambs, and the pure bullshit the wts is spewing and causing those honest souls who risk and are feeling the wrath of the gestapo to protect victims, i haven't slept; my nerves are on a raw edge; my migraines won't go; i'm on the verge of tears out of the blue; i'm afraid of nightfall; i'm afraid of noises, of phonecalls, of mail.
i'd kick the crap outa my heavy bag if i had the energy.
Mimilly,
You have already survived the earthquake, you can hang in through the aftershock. You may not feel very strong right now, but belive me lady, you are.

regarding this quote from the article bill bowen posted this morning:.
while the four believe the show's impending broadcast has spurred the church's actions, church spokesman j.r. brown said that before tuesday, church headquarters had no idea that these people would be on the show.
i have to ask how j.r. brown, in good conscience, can say that?
I was thinking the exact same thing Marilyn. They are such liars, it just amazes me that it took me so long to see it.
PS. You have mail

no date has been set yet, but the engagement will be short.

Bob and I want to add our congratulations to the many. There is nothing better than spending every day with your best friend!

with all the recent hog wash going on in my life, i can't believe i am even entertaining this notion.
everybody on this board knows how i feel about this path, these beliefs, and here i am thinking, pondering wondering, maybe jehovahs witnesses do have something to offer me, maybe i need their 'close nit' love inside their congregations?
maybe i could see the truth, if i only opened my eyes to it and tried to accept it???
My own personal freedom came when I realized that I would rather swallow the muzzle of a gun than have to live in eternity with those rules and that god.
Once I realized that they had nothing to offer me .... I soon realized that whether they were right or not, I had nothing to gain from them and nothing left to lose.

i have been walking around with a sticker on my chest that announces to the world that i acted on my civic responsibility and voted today.
i have to admit that i am feeling a bit vulnerable and fighting the impulse to rip it off.
there were two issues on the ballot however that i felt it important to support.
Thanks everyone for your input.
Xander,
I think you have a great idea. For me, registration was simple. I merely filled out the registration card when I renewed my driver’s license. They mailed me a card with my voting precinct location. Fortunately for me it is in a pub within walking distance of my home. The hubby and I can vote and then throw back a couple. Today though I had to run in on my way to work so I couldn't take advantage of the "refreshments" .
Becky,
Love you and miss you. Can't wait to see you this weekend.
Edited because I forgot to say Hi to beckyboop!

hi everyone,.
i am a new poster who is putting off their own personal story of finding this site for a while..... i find alot of people here utterly fascinating, and would like to know..... exactly what is everyones professional field of work?.
i would like to be a full time poster on this forum, but alas, the $$$$ are quite light in that field of work.. apologies if this has been asked before.. just curious.
I teach people with mental retardation and developmental delays how to use the computer. I also teach so called "typical" folks .... but they aren't as much fun!

This is only the second time that I have voted since becoming registered, but I am beginning to feel the responsibility more and more.
How long do you have to be free of the borg before the tug of war between conscience and fear abates? I have determined to live with integrity, and I am refusing to hide my choices, but the vulnerability of it all really sucks!

well now we have it, what appears to be the pre-emptive strike from wt.. as of this friday three families who appeared on the dateline program have been informed judicial committees have been setup with a one week notice and it is alleged that they have been causing "divisions" within the organization.
i got my letter today, barbara anderson got hers yesterday and the other family earlier this week.. if you were a pr firm would you think it to be a good idea or a bad idea to df everyone a couple of weeks before the dateline program airs?
what do you think the american public will think of such a move?.
Actually,
I think Simon may be on to something. Take two tape recorders in, then when asked if you have a recorder say yes and turn one off. No need for them to know about the second or third backup lol.
Bill,
I would be willing to come and support you if my work schedule will allow. If the proceedings are on a weekend or a Monday, I am free.
Please email me with the details, and love to you and yours.
i posted my story here a week or so ago.
and i left something out that i was shy about sharing, but now i have changed my mind for 2 reasons.
1) i feel more comfortable here everyday and feel like i can say this 2) i keep reading posts by new people who struggling to adjust and i think this might help.. after i left the witnesses and got df'd i had nowhere to go, i wanted to kill myself because i was so alone and was no one to turn to.
Thank you for sharing. I am another who can attest to the healing gift of therapy.
