I really like reading your posts JT but I don't know if its just the [edit] sceptic in me but a part of me just thinks its all just happy-go-lucky-stuff. No concern of an after life.. could it be just all pudding??

I LOVE Sunday mornings!
by nicolaou inin the week i have to get up at 5:15 and go to work while the rest of my family are gently snoring in their warm and toasty beds - not fair.
on saturdays the mornings are usually a bit noisy with teenage kids and their friends coming and going, mobiles ringing and the sound of spongebob coming from my little girls room.. but sundays.

I Wish I Could Apologize To Old Friends

i was the only one in my family that was active though my mother, step father and my brothers thought the watchtower was the truth.
my step father had been raised a witness while my family was not affiliated with any particular church.

'Who Wrote the Bible' - terrific book!

this guy is a really respected scholar, not some crackpot-prediction-making jackass.
as a typical jw, i didn't know much about how absurd the idea of moses writing the first five books of the bible really is.

Is it morally right ...

on rash impuls i wrote a letter to one elder.
a man who is most dear to me, even though my feelings towards the jw are negative at best.

I really wouldnt say anything to him about it personally. It's the type stuff a person has to figure out on there own. He's older, he's happy.. if he starts talking to you about doubts then go for it but for his mental health I wouldn't if I were you.

Do you think of yourself as an apostate
by barbar inmany of the people on this site say that they are apostates.
but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.
i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).

That whole word 'apostate' has been demonized to no end by the witnesses. I think a lot of people use it loosely around these parts to sort of take some of the superstition in that term away. But I know how it feels to be a wit and read stuff from people refering to themselves as apostates, I felt kinda spooked.
