she left me today......

i went out to see my sister and my mom... when i got back she said she was leaving... when i asked why, she said she was weirded out by my lack of trust.... i couldnt trust her,, so i hid things... its not her fault, its not like i was lying or anything, but i mean some shit, i just didnt tell her... i am so used to being called names, lectured and torn apart for being 100% honest, that now, i still am scared to let anyone completely in... now the best thing that ever happened to me is gone... she left and im not sure shes ever coming back... and iom not sure who to blame.. i mean its obviously my fault, but did the borg put a fear of trusting into my heart and soul?

i guess i cant blame anyone but myself... but at this point, im so torn and hurt that im not sure what to do... all i know is that what was finally having the semblance of family to me is now gone... the first time i was able to live with someone and love someone, albeiut with an ingrained sense of distrust, has disappeared, probably never to return..... .

this has broken me, i don't know what i will be doing with myself for the next couple of days... i feel almost dead inside... the infamous one.

Sorry about what's going on with your love life man. I have had a few real painful breakups over the course of my life time and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Okay, maybe Theo Jarcaz.

A buddy of mine just had his chick dump him and sell the house they had bought together. He told me that he found himself in a blur of confusion with a gun in his mouth and tears running down his face with an empty bottle of JD lying on the floor. All I can say is that I've found that nothing in life is permanent and they always have a way of getting better. But what the hell do I know, I haven't been divorced yet.

Huge problem with their blood doctrine, hypocracy and the Revelation book madness. Also that I never really believed that some loving old geezer in the sky could watch all of us confused people crying and dying and not do anything to give us a clue what the fuck this was all for. GBL

i was reading alanf's comments about vinny and his willingness to sacrifice children if god told him to.

alan suggested any fundamentalist christian should agree he would, and vinny did in fact agree.

Cool topic Dave. I kinda feel the same way. My brain just can't really get around how there could be a God because of the question of how it was supposedly around forever in the first place. I mean, how would an entity prove that it has "just existed" forever ? And if it were created by someone else then how the hell could it prove that IT was around forever?

I must have a case of full blown atheism with a sore throat.

so here's a sincere question... and instead of pressing my frustrations and blaming god and bla bla bla... i decided that instead of writing letters to an inactive god, i would ask your opinion!!!!!.

here's the question, looking at the world around you, seeing all the pain and frustration, the death and disease, the war and hypocricy, the starvation and disgust; generally seeing that our world is falling apart... if someone were able to irrevocably prove that there was a god, an intelligent creator is you will, would you want to worship him?

if he was there and created all of this just to watch it all implode, would you be able to respect that?

i ordered crisis of conscience a few minutes ago !

i've heard many great things about this book for people who have left the jw religion and were having a hard time, like myself.

for those who read it, has it changed your life in any way ?

It's better to read when you have doubts or have just recently stopped attending meetings. The first blast goes straight to your head and you just want more and more until the entire book is finished. If you've been out for a while the effects aren't quite as good.

Check out his other book too, in my opinion even better.

I can't imagine being able to have a serious relationship with any faith head at this point. It's hard enough that my girlfriends family are all Catholic. I had to sit through her nephew's Christening a couple of weeks ago and it was like a scene from a really bad b-side horror flick. Her mom still has hope for us . Otherwise terrific people though.

i just want to say that i used to be judgemental of athiests, but as a jw backer everyone on here finds nothing but wrong doing with the orginizations.

well i am sure i can find wrong doing with other churches and their teachings as well.

I met the most wonderful girl and am getting married this winter. I also went back to school and am working on my career with real focus for once in my life. I have met a bunch of new people that I can really call my friends, I'm trying out tons of cool psychedelic drugs, and I'm finally enjoying the moment, this moment, for what it is. I'm really grateful to be alive.

Did you make a new religion for yourself?

i'm associating with a church that i like very much, however, i find some things hard to digest, like jesus resurrecting himself.

i think the father did that, not him.

anyway, i am thinking that i can just keep associating for social reasons and some religious ones while reading the bible and having my own beliefs based on how i understand the bible and not blindly believe doctrine just because a big church teaches it.
