Bring it: Mac OS X Versus Windows Vista

i am ready to upgrade my system (currently windows xp) and am seriously considering switching to apple.. the new windows vista is going to be released soon, and it finally looks like a mac anyway.

who wants to follow a follower anyway?.

i need a powerful workstation for graphics, webdesign and 3d animation.. plus, i am very impressed with the new iphone and believe that the ipod culture will continue to keep macworld in the ascendant.

I've heard that Window's Vista will not allow playback of mp3's and other media unless they have been verified as being purchased by the user. They also have exclusive rights to DirectX 10. There's no way I'll be using this OS if its true.

Maybe after I ask I'll just explain to her that I would have gotten down on one knee but the tradition has pagan origins and would have upset my Bible trained conscience.

Changing your diet - meat, dairy, sugar

i have just finished reading 'confessions of a kamikaze cowboy' by dirk benedict.

in the book he talks about how 'macrobiotics' (exclusion of meat, sugar, dairy among others) helped improve his health and fight cancer.

a lot of what he says about food resonates with me, so im curious.

I'm here writing this three years into my battle with cancer. I eat virtually everything now - in moderation - because there's nothing on the planet - NOTHING - that hasn't been subject to some form of pollution. Organic food is NOT as safe as the growers would have us believe. In fact, some organic produce is worse than mass produced. Believe me, I've done the research!

I one hundred percent agree with you on this Ian. Moderation, portion control, and understanding your own personal metabolism is the key for weight management IMO.

I highly recommend the book "Turn Up The Heat" by Philip Goglia. Get off of these maddening fad diets and use an eating plan that really works for the long haul.

I think this entire scenario is really fishy to me. I'd bet there is a lot more to this story than you are aware of, but that is pure speculation.

You sound like a really nice girl, and I think you can do better than this cousin-railing manic control freak. Just be strong and have faith in yourself. There are lots of really nice guys out there around your age that you would probably be a better match with.

Dude.. yes. I knew these guys were never even true believers and they still shun. Or just remembering their incredibly hypocritical behavior. It doesn't make me mad anymore because it truly is a tragically funny existence. These days I can't help but laugh.

My father informed my mother that he had a field of corn planted and it should be in by November, "So, I figure if you want to get married now is a good time."

OMG, this killed me . My parents proposal was pretty similar.

I'll let all of you know what I end up doing next week.

a new driver that just started working here walked past my desk and said, "the truth will set you free.

" it gave me shivers down my back.

i know that phrase is in the bible and not just a phrase for jws but still -- they are the only ones i ever heard using it.. it just mades me uncomfortable hearing anything called "the truth"..
